    FFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRSSSSTTTTTTT

Of course, you need a lot of rupees for the stupid hylians

    • Ronald says:

well depend on the game and youre progress you get them easy or difficult. zelda 4 the not dx version pain in the _ss

  2. Happyness says:

iam not sure zelda 3 had only one which you needed 1 or 2 times
zelda 4 had them instead ‘princess in castle’
and zelda oot and mm had more songs than instruments

    is that a specific titel?

    • protopethunter says:

it doesnt mean different instruments. it means times you needed to use them like those blocks in OoT that needed you to play the song of time to get rid of them or playing the song of the wind (or whatever it was called) in wind waker. you did often need an instrument to advance the plot in some way in the games.

    • Fawfulster says:

      There’s no Zelda 3 & 4 dumb@$$.
      Also, what does “titel” mean?

  3. protopethunter says:

this immediately made me remember LoZ Link’s Awakening. most of the game was about instruments or music. Of Course music has almost always been big in LoZ.

  4. Link says:

    It’s not a flute! It’s an OCARINA!

  5. PillowCaseLaw says:

Better yet, a good number of the games can be beaten without ever getting a sword.

    • PillowCaseLaw says:

Or only getting one for the final fight. We really do need edit.

    • Midna says:

You can’t even get to the Deku Tree without a sword in OoT. Also, good luck rescuing those children in Twilight Princess without a sword.

Really. It’s not like the Master Sword is a huge symbol of the hero of time or anything…

      • Rar says:

That’s two games, then? He said “a good number” not “all.”

        • Midna says:

You wanna play it that way? Fine. When you aren’t busy being a Deku Scrub, you already have a sword at the beginning of Majora’s Mask.

In between talking to your sailboat and making eyes at saucy Pirate Princesses, you have to have a sword to a)leave your home island and b)return the Hyrule-under-the-sea back to a functional one in Windwaker.

The new game? Skyward Sword. It’s the *title*.

          • Rar says:

Honestly, I don’t know anything about Zelda, so I wouldn’t know what games do what. I’ve only ever played A Link To The Past, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Majora’s Mask, and Windwaker. I’ve not gotten very far on any EXCEPT Link to the Past, and that was when I was a kid. And to be fair, that was the time when I honestly thought Link’s name was Zelda. Zelda was always brought up, and for some reason, my mind did not connect the wires, even if the Princess was called Zelda. It was a funny coincidence in my head.

So don’t judge me for not knowing s**t. I was just replying with what the guy said.

            • Midna says:

Fair enough. No hard feelings, I just get way too defensive when someone attacks my arguments.

Four years of debate team will do that to you.

Next time you whip out the good ol’ Windwaker, though, I’d recommend finding yourself a sword. Although, really, unless you really like sailing, it’s not the most fun reincarnation.

  6. m33pit says:

my weapon of choice in loz is the hammer from phanthom hourglassXD

  7. Alejo says:

OCARINA OF TIME FTW!!! Took me awhile before i figured out you can streghten the big sword (forgot the name)! But in my opinion it was the best game, followed by Wind Waker

    • Midna says:

The Giant’s Knife! lol I’m not usually this much of a nerd, but I seriously just beat Ganon and signed onto Graphjam to find this.

If you just keep the broken one, it’s so much easier to fight Dark Link.

      • King Graphjam says:

        ………….

        ……………………..
        ……………………..
        ……………………..

Most people don’t realize this, but you can just bash ‘em with your Megaton Hammer for a quick win.

        • Midna says:

By the time I tried this, I had beaten the game twice before, and was about 10 years old. It was effective, though, I was impressed.

      • Alejo says:

oh! and i love going to the Gerudo Valley just to hear the music!!! ohhh….i miss that game =’(

  8. Jess says:

    HOOKSHOT >(

    • Lexi says:

My fav is the fishing rod in twilight princess !
You can use it to distract Gannon in the final battle!!!!!! Just wave it around and Gannon is just like 0_0. then hit with your sword, get the chance and finish him. LOL!!!!!

  9. Mort says:

    You forgot about wands.

  10. NewfagsCan'tTriforce says:

Oil? Rope? Bombs? It’s yours my friend, as long as you have enough rupees.

    Come back when you’re a little…. MMMMMMMMMM…. richer?

  11. killermike2178 says:

Well, the only Zelda game I can think of that comes close to breaking this trend is Twilight Princess, since you get a whistle towards the end of the game, but all it’s used for is to summon Epona, whom you need really need this late in the game, since you can warp everywhere without her.

  12. sirseansy says:

you forgot a tiny space for “dungeon maps and compasses”

    • Midna says:

But how else will we know where to find the Boss? What do you mean, the dungeons are designed to specifically guide you towards it?

  13. Katt says:

IDIOT! You need hearts and faries! Gosh!

  14. THE GAME says:

    I AM THE WIND
    FISH…
    LONG HAS BEEN
    MY SLUMBER…
    IN MY DREAMS…
    AN EGG APPEARED
    AND WAS
    SURROUNDED BY AN
    ISLAND, WITH
    PEOPLE, ANIMALS,
    AN ENTIRE WORLD!
    … … … …
    BUT, VERILY,
    IT BE THE NATURE
    OF DREAMS TO
    END! WHEN I DOST
    AWAKEN, KOHOLINT
    WILL BE GONE…
    ONLY THE MEMORY
    OF THIS DREAM
    LAND WILL EXIST
    IN THE WAKING
    WORLD…
    SOMEDAY, THOU
    MAY RECALL THIS
    ISLAND… THAT
    MEMORY MUST BE
    THE REAL DREAM
    WORLD…
    … … … …
    COME, Link …
    LET US AWAKEN…
    TOGETHER!!

    PLAY THE EIGHT
    INSTRUMENTS!
    PLAY THE SONG OF
    AWAKENING!!

  15. shlurp says:

    What about a strategy guide?
I’ve yet to beat a zelda game without a strategy guide!

    • Alejo says:

wow….really? Its called wits and strategy and common sense! look around…can you slingshot there? or do you have to hit a switch? is there a wall you can climb? a river you have to swim? it took some time before i could beat the Forest Temple, Fire Temple, and Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, but i felt proud doing it on my own! :D

      • Link says:

I can’t even beat the water temple WITH a strategy guide. It’s like the game makers sat down and said “how can we make the most confusingly impossibly difficult maze-like temple, and still claim it as beatable?”

        • Malon says:

When they re-tooled it and released it as Master Quest, they actually made the Water Temple *easier* when the rest of the game got harder.

I feel your pain. I always had to have my brother and sister helping me with the Water Temple. “Wait, I think the water level needs to be higher… try your hookshot!!”

It’s totally worth it, though, if only for the nerd cred.

  16. because nothing says ‘mighty hero’ like blowing up some poor guys porcelain pots with a bomb.

  17. carcassi says:

And then you gotta fight yer way into another dungeon for your flute lesson.

  18. chickenhound says:

bottled Fairys so need to be on this

I refuse to fight bosses with out one

so do rupees for that matter I rember in my first zelda game having to hack away at the grass for hours to be able to buy a shovel then realizing i had to do it again for even longer for the freaking bow (links awaking)

  19. oscar says:

mai boi, this graph is what all funny people strive for

  20. Namadu says:

You’re gonna need a lot of lamp oil and rope, too…
