HA! i loved that movie
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you babe
I got you babe

OMG, the day after I first saw the movie on TV, I woke up to that horrid song! Not being a morning person, I kind of freaked out; I think I’d been dreaming about the movie.
Who’s Bill Murray?
You may remember him from such classics as “Meatballs”, “Saturday Night Live”, and “Ghostbusters”. Of course if you weren’t born until the 1990s you might remember him for “Mad Dog and Glory”, “Charlie’s Angels”, or “Lost in Translation”.
And, of course, “Groundhog Day”. It’s not a proper graph per se, but this is still funny
How in the world can you forget “Caddyshack”?????
And “Stripes”…how could you forget THAT one?!
And “Quick Change”!
Hey, hey, hold on. I’m not forgetting any of them – just randomly picking three at a time for the Troy McClure “You may remember me from such films as…” line
HOW ABOUT “ZOMBIELAND” and also he is the voice of captain price in Cod 4 and MWF2
it STILL bothers me that they didnt mention Kingpin in Zombieland with him and Woody Harrelson BOTH right there talkin about movies Bill was in
THAT would’ve been great!
Wrong Bill Murray.
You’re thinking of British actor Billy Murray.
the day of the week is changing though…
For all who don’t get the reference here, it’s playing off a movie. Groundhog Day sees Bill Murray wake up every morning on Groundhog day, every single day. When he finishes the day, he goes to sleep, only to wake up on Groundhog day again, with the exact same circustances playing over again. Even if he commits suicide, he wakes up, at 7:00 in the morning if I remember, on Groundhog day again.
He uses this strange phenomenon to try and get the girl of his dreams to fall in love with him. He only has one day to do it however, but as the ‘days’ go past, he learns her inside and out. However, like 50 first dates, she (nor anyone else) remembers the previous days, and the different things BIll has done, making it hard for him to get anything good after only one date. At the end of the movie, he suffers delusions he is God, because after a long time, (presumably, years) of living the same day over and over, he knows EVERYTHING about EVERYONE in the town.
EPIC WIN. It’s been a family tradition to watch “Groundhog Day” on Groundhog Day for years.
erm – shouldn’t it be “Phil’s Calendar” ?
/makes note to watch Groundhog Day this weekend
Nah. Nobody remembers the character’s name.
The Dr appointment woulda been win if it said Dentist appointment.
I dunno. This was like… almost half a laugh for me. I wish I’d gotten a whole one.
I’m sorry I couldn’t get you a whole laugh. I think this was more of a “I smiled, that was clever” idea. I’m not much of a comedian.
if that is true then everyday is my birthday
yes!!! my bday everyday!!!
It’s too bad the empty slots didn’t say ‘Bust ghosts w/ Ray, Winston.’
We’ve entered an endless recursion of time.
Bill
Ned
*bill punches ned*
It evoked a smile from me.
By the way, I once read up some background on the story. The film makers figured that the whole loop lasted for around 10 years, though another person involved even estimated it on 30 to 40 years.
A funny graph
Cool!
Love the movie and Punxsutawney! I remember seeing this film in the theatre with my mother who grew up in that town. She was bummed to see that it wasn’t actually filmed in the town for the most part. All of her friends called herthat night since they had all seen it and everyone complained about it not being the actual town. Such is life.
The movie still gives me a smile after all these years.
