Acting like a retard does not make you superior.
excuse me, but i don’t see how stating a fact makes me act like a retard. If that is the case then your acting like a retard too for stating a fact.
Hum, I don’t think stating facts makes you a retard, however, showing pride for accomplishing what a 2 year old could do would make you a retard, unless you,re 2, or younger.
Didn’t you know? Firsting is a time-honored tradition here at GraphJam.
Your fact has nothing to do with the graph, all your fact does is displays the fact that you’re retarded. OMG’s fact was directly related to the topic at hand i.e. your being retarded.
you’re not your. retards.
you just displayed a retarted fact too. crap. I just did it!
boys boys boys. let’s not act like 5th graders at recess. using the word retard is demeaning and offensive and you both know it. enough.
what?? this is a kindergarten brawl
aaaaahH!!!1 homework :O!!!
*faints*
brilliant!!!!!
I don’t mind admitting that I am infact considered ‘youth’ (aged 13) and I must say that this graph is incorrect; I would consider recession to be an important word and homework throughout youth is never done from a male’s perspective, and therefore wouldn’t be frightening.
sadly, thats true, i am 14, and everything but the Election scandals and Homework scare me
Oftentimes, while trying to complete homework for teachers that gleefully give hours upon hours of homework a night, I get lost and seemingly perpetually stuck in the realm of cyberspace, chatting with friends and raising crops in some ethereal place called “Farmville”. Once, I literally did get stuck; my monitor sucked me into my computer and plopped me down in the center of the Internet: Al Gore’s virtual house. He had expected me, and thus had prepared several “dungeon wisdom tests”, wherein I had to give the names of several mythical creatures. I passed all of them, and Al Gore was kind enough to send me back through my monitor and right into my desk chair.
I am proof of that. I was beat up near daily but in 5 years I will work as a vascular surgeon and make from 500,000 to 10,000,000. Just to let you know I am only 17 but have an IQ of 170.
Too bad medical school interviewers tend to strongly dislike arrogant assholes that flaunt themselves to a fault
Plus, you should know that resident doctors only make an average of 40k a year, so your “dream salary” is not going to happen in 5 years buddy.
yes but have you ever been laid? no didnt think so
Who’re you fooling? You know you’d go nuts if there was no internet xD
Being a youth myself, I know I would.
You could have left “internet” off the last one …
As the mother of two yoots (name that movie), I say that no cell phone/texting availability would rank right up there as well.
Oh, excuse me, your Honor. Two YOUTHS.
Graph should contain functional literacy as the least important thing. The best example for the lack of functional literacy would be ringtail, who appears to be unable to identify a reference to a piece of work in comments like LadyCallahan’s.
I agree with LadyCallahan about the importance of cell phones in our lives (not only young people’s lives but everyone’s). Too bad there are too many places in the US where there is no service at all.
I have never met this problem in Europe unless I was in a wine cellar.
Wow, really? Unless there is another Oscar-award winning movie that has popularized the word “yoots” that I am unaware of, she was referring to “My Cousin Vinny.” And anyone that has seen this movie knows this classic scence – Vinny begins by asking the witness “Is it possible that the two yoots–” to which Judge Chamberlain interrupts him, repeatedly asking “What was that word you said? Two what?” Vinny then sarcastically responds, “Oh, excuse me, your Honor. Two YOUTHS.”
So please enlighten me how my answering a “name that movie” question with a direct, notable quote from said movie is an example of no functional litercy?
rofl holyhell got pwnt
bumpin up ringtail, rofl @ holyhell
Ya pretty much works like that. I don’t mind admitting that, either.
I’m not ‘frightened’ by recession and war, because I’m currently unaffected by it. Homework? Yeah- I tend to freak out about getting into college, keeping up grades and such. While internet is huge, and I would be pretty pissed off if I lost it. (Though might be a good thing)
Election scandal? Yes because that matters very much to todays youth, who cannot even vote yet. (“But it should!” you say? It doesn’t.)
I shuddered myself when i saw “No Internet”
Ugh, don’t group me in with those assholes. Please.
Ditto.
Double ditto. And the ADULT who made this graph would prolly freak out if there was no internet >.>
anti ditto. If you did not care about the internet you wouldn’t have made your post
I made the graph and I’m a teen. (I know it says source unknown, but I forgot my password). The internet can be a good way to communicate. Too bad Twitter exists
I apologize but as I am currently technically a youth, I am not afraid of any of these things. If I have to ally myself with any of these, I would have to say that I am afraid of recession, as it shows that money still holds value.
You’re definitely not a “youth”. You type so eloquently.
Thank you very much but as I am still a minor (17), I am grouped in with the youth category. I am sure that my I.Q. of 170 allows me to write much more eloquently than I would without it.
smart kid needs to know that most people do aren’t as great in life as you are, send me some money if you get some btw.
the word that scares youths of all ages is pregnancy.
Good one, I should’ve put it on there (damn it!)
I consider myself a to be youth (15) but i dont “freak out” abaut such things. War, Unger and all those things are really importante and so is homework and i can live without internet and phone.
Lol i almost deluded myself there
No interwebz no wai! i dont give **** to war and i dont care abaut recession unless it affects me.
I’m a internet addicted!! Also phone is’nt that important. At least in my country/region.
Wow, at 15 you would think that if you can spell “delude” you could spell “about” and “hunger” correctly
well he said “in my country/region” he obviously isn’t from the US or probably not from Europe, therefore his english is OK
Oh, those youths these days, because back in my day, youths cared about nothing but politics and work. We were a very serious bunch, but we got the job done. No tv? No radio? Bah! We scoffed at them. No destractions means more productivity. There was also no such thing as drugs, crime, teen pregnancy, homosexuality, violence, divorce, terrorists, cell phones, or mp3s. In fact, things were worse before and after I was a youth, but everything everywhere was perfect when I was young.
You Ms/Mr McStabass have summed up my thoughts perfectly,
The youths that cared for the “important news issues” at that age were most likely the boring ones.
you win.
“no homosexuality”? how long have YOU been alive??
oh gahd there comes the homophobes
There has never been a perfect society and never will be. People today don’t have any easier or harder than anyone else. The difference is the challenges we have, not how hard they are.
I’m 13, and I do care about recession. But yeah, I do hate homework. And since my parents are so awkward, the internet is the only place to go.
worse than “no internet” is “dial-up” :O
that shizz is not even funny… i rather have no internet than dial-up, kill me now!
AMEN
i resent the last “no internet” thing. honestly, you’re going to generalize and say that ALL youths (including me) are shallow dumbasses? please, i like the internet, but im not obsessed with it. i think quite a few youths are more capable than you think. yeah, there are ones that are like that, but dont project that image onto ALL of us. i might be scared of homework though if it was a particularly large assignment.
I’m 12 years old and I find this slightly offensive. I do my homework with no problem (Yes, I’m a boy who’s not gay) and don’t find either of those things frightening whatsoever.
My brother on the other hand… but he’s just like the rest of the online gaming teenagers-
Oh. I’m an idiot, that’s what they meant by youth.
God, I don’t look forward to being a teenager..
I’m 13 and I take offense to this also. I pay much attention to war and violence. And I also really pay attention to scandals and such. And the recession? I follow all of that stuff…so watch what you say and how you group people in with each other..
