  1. ethana2 says:

    Murphy’s law of Commerce

  2. o says:

    I got cake

  3. blargh says:

    Portraying the obvious much?

  4. Nick R. Bocker says:

So logic would dictate that you do your gift-shopping on Christmas Day. No wonder you can’t find any sales. No one’s open!

  5. Econ 101 says:

Hmm, it is almost like stores know when people are most apt to purchase stuff…

  6. Adam says:

Buy 10 and get 1 for free is a better offer then buy 1, get 1 25% off

  7. The_Great_G says:

This is why I shop for real gifts after Christmas and give everyone cheap placeholder gifts on the day

  8. Ash says:

I wish this was actually true for the shops I go into. Their idea of a ’sale’ is to put stock back on the shelves that they took down three months before Christmas, at a price that’s £5 more expensive than it was before, in the hope that you’ve forgotten and will instead compare it to the price of all the stuff that’s actually new and interesting, which hasn’t dropped in price by so much as a penny.

    That’s not a sale, that’s an anti-sale!

  9. Kevin T. says:

    Ain’t this the truth!

I was able to buy the Catwoman game for Xbox at FYE for $1.

    It was worth it. :-)

  10. André says:

Actually, in some shops, is you go there exchange a sweater or something that costed 75 in xmas, and costs 55 on sale, they’ll give you back the 20…

  11. Retail Clerk says:

Actually, it’s not that the things you want to buy as presents aren’t on sale, it’s that you waited too long to come in and do your Christmas shopping so all of the things that were on sale were sold out. You are in fact, dumber than a sack of hammers.
