So the person that made this chart isn’t then?
Guess so.
IRONY FAIL
So long as he uses the word “Lassie” after every use of the word “Classy” he’s in the clear.
Yep. If a “classy” person wants to call another “classy” person “classy”, they say “s/he has class”. “Classy” is not a word with a lot of class. Also, it’s fun to type “classy”.
How is it classy to nitpick about saying that someone is “classy” vs. that they “have class”?
That is exactly what class is about though… claiming to be above another based on small things such as speach and mannerisms.
Also, A person with class will call one without “crass” or “crude”, not “not classy”.
(1) I was not being entirely serious. I was enjoying typing the words “classy” and “class” repeatedly because I’m like that.
(2) I never said I was classy.
And (3) I have never heard anyone say “classy” without (a) being sarcastic or (b) adding the word “broad” or “dame” after it. Sadly I actually do know some (rather old) people who do the latter. That’s where the small amount of being serious comes in.
Oh my, so true.
People who walk around saying “I’m classy”….aren’t. If you have to walk around saying you are something or another….you aren’t that. The word “classy” is so ghetto.
…did anyone else immediately think of the episode of The Office last season when they were planning Michael’s anniversary party and he wanted it to be “classy”?
…just me? I’m ok with that.
and Jim wore a tux to work… LOL. Love the office. Although season 5 sucked… don’t get me started.
Season 5 sucked in the scope of seasons of The Office. Still head and shoulders above most other sit-coms.
But how do you go from “Gay Witch Hunt” or “The Dundies” to something like, “Cafe Disco” or “New Boss”?? Boring…not funny at ALL… The Office has lost it’s awkward moment touch.
agreed
THe us office sucks compared to the original. Its not the same.
I agree. It misses the point of the original entirely. Same thing happened with the transmogrification of “Till Death Do Us Part” – Alf Garnett was reborn as Archie Bunker and missed the boat….
I have noticed this.
This graph is missing a Ron Burgundy-sized overlap between the two.
I agree.
No, you must be thinking of the ‘pretentious’ circle graph.
I have such a bad urge to write in all caps: stay classy graphjam.
There….I’m somewhat satisfied…and lacking class.
This graph makes me think of Breathe Carolina…who are in no way classy or classic despite having an album called “It’s Classy, Not Classic” and a song called “That’s Classy.”
This graph screams class!
This clearly falls under the category of “therapy graphs”. Someone got this under their skin enough to compose a graph on it. Hope the author feels better now.
This is obviously a lie, as I have used the world “classy” in the past, and I wear a fedora.
THIS
I think that is an awfully classy graph. I think maybe I’m somewhere inbetween those circles ;-p.
I like the word “classy,” although I definitely do not run around saying “I’m classy!” to people.
I suppose that saying “have class” is classier than “classy.” Argh now the word looks so weird! But, seriously, it’s fun to say that Audrey Hepburn is a classy lady.. Isn’t it? It is for me!
It should be “people WHO use the word classy”
so where do the people who “went from ashy to classy” fit in?
