So true. Accept that facebook wasn’t around when I was in college, I had to park five miles away or risk being towed for parking in a visitor’s spot.
I accept (reject) your opinion and substitute my own
I accept (reject) your opinion and substitute my own.
Two Batmans? One’s a fake!
It’s the magic of double post.
you except…..guess you spent a little too much time in the car at community college
accept, is to recieve, except, is to exclude.
most def a community college grad, (pompous laughter)
“except”. Juco was a good choice.
There should have been a color for “learning to make funny graphs”, with that color taking up none of the actual graph.
So you’ve basically just written a sentence to say “It should be how it is” in a needlessly long way.
Yay?
He’s saying that the graph isn’t funny.
This is my life.
This is EXACTLY community college… except the “learning” slice should be a little smaller.
well it doesn’t say classroom learning necessarily. For example, I learned that if you stay at CC for longer than three years, no matter how “driven”… you aren’t leaving.
That one I learned from working at Peet’s, with 30 year old coworkers who still hoped to get into UC Berkeley one day…
It doesn’t say classroom anything, which I think is a little odd. I think there should be a fairly good slice for time spent in class, whether or not learning is occurring.
well sure.
if you bother going to class.
i live 2 blocks from my comm. college so that means 90% is checking facebook, my fingers hurt….
This is my life! And there are no stop signs in our parking lots! Its really dangerous.
what’s dangerous about that?
Um, no, because I was a student and couldn’t actually afford a car.
I’m at Austin community college right now. Hard to find a parking spot mid day, half of the people in the library are on facebook right now, and the drive is 20-30 min
Weird. I’m at Riverland community college in Austin (MN). Hard to find a spot, I was on facebook before I came here, and my drive is also 20-30 min.
lol that made my day… XD
True that! I have missed entire days of class looking for a parking spot!
truth!!
well, i’m assuming anyone who agrees with this didn’t take primarily math classes at CC
then again, parking is always a nightmare, so maybe the graph is just not bloated enough
I took primarily math and engineering classes. Although I did a decent amount of homework, it wasn’t anywhere near the amount I did at the University. But yeah the driving to school and finding parking bit is right on.
I had these issues at BCC in WA, but then attended South Seattle CC. It is far superior in every way.
I go to Portland CC (in Oregon) and I find it much easier just to take the bus than have to deal with parking
Mass transit FTW !!!!1!!
In my city, you have to drive to the bus station.
How does one even find a community college that far away? Isn’t the point of community college that they are in the community?
I live in Rockville, MD, which is just outside of Washington DC. It takes 20-30 minutes for me to get to class, and I live five miles away.
Sounds exactly like my college – except that it’s a four-year school.
Thankfully I dorm, so I don’t have to put up with parking, just people complaining about it. I feel bad for them, but at the same time, it’s not like we don’t have public transit or carpooling.

FWIW, I learned German in CC.
I go to a private college and this graph is still true =P But then again i commute..
My life
Where is the huge slice for smoking pot/drinking beer in the car after finding a parking spot?
My personal graph would include sleeping in my car between classes and just flat out skippng class, but no facebook. I wasted so much money at community college.
Buy a motorcycle.
Where’s the slice for filling out McDonald’s applications?
I can’t read this
Pretty much true. Except I’m learning more at community college than I did at the crappy, expensive university I attended for two years in Florida.
