Why health care is expensive for people who actually P A Y for it 101: Let’s suppose you had a store and half the people who came in paid full price and left but the other half said, hey, fvck you pal, I’m only paying 2/3 or less and if you don’t like it, tough because my brother is the police chief. But seriously. I’ve heard arguments both for and against govt-run health care, and two very simple points have convinced me it’s a bad idea. (And they don’t require caps-lock or bold print.)

1. Veterans Affairs. I’ve heard an appalling number of stories of veterans waiting on money for health care, for school, etc. and held up by the endless red tape, bureaucracy, and BS. If the government can’t handle caring for its veterans, what can we expect it to do for the rest of us?

2. Supply and demand. Right now, demand for health care is much higher than the supply. When supply goes up, costs go down and demand goes up. And up. And up. How much of that inflation will the government be prepared for? Public or private, health care and insurance providers will have problems dealing with the rapidly changing marketplace.

MAYBE IF ALL THOSE “POOR PEOPLE” YOU’RE SO DAMN CONCERNED ABOUT WOULD STOP REPRODUCING LIKE RODENTS, THEY WOULDN’T BE SO GOD DAMN “POOR” TO BEGIN WITH, EVER THOUGHT OF THAT?

WHEN THE COUNTRY IN BANKRUPT NOBODY WILL HAVE HEALTH CARE OR ANY OTHER DAMN THING.

How again would having a healthy workforce from the bottom up be a detriment to the country?
