yes, i watch that show often with my younger cousin.
i have yet to see any half-naked people strutting around, or issues that are “way too grown up for them”. the majority of girls who watch the disney channel are usually around nine-fourteen, the normal age range to hit puberty. dating, boys, and clothes are issues they deal with.

Actually, I’m 11 and watch Glee. I watch it more than my parents and they don’t care if I watch it. I have a friend with a little sister who’s 7 and watches Glee. I’ve never heard of Cheaters, though. And I don’t care for Beyonce. I do agree with you that Disney doesn’t have adult issues or half-naked people.

I watch Disney ALL the time. -I’m 19 by the way- Seriously? Disney ISN’T BAD people. Calm down.

OH! And guess what?! I’m not some whorish girl who cant do anything, I’m a student in college about to receive her AA and then going on to get a bachelors and then a masters. And I read and write all the time, in fact I’m working on writing 145 page book in one months time for NaNoWriMo.

Disney has NEVER had someone walking around half naked unless they are going to the beach! And you know what? almost all of the people who go to the beach on disney wear ONE PIECE BATHING SUITS! You can see worse flipping to almost any channel! There isn’t cursing, adult subjects any sort of thing like that!

And whats wrong with Actresses who are singers? Look at it this way: Good Actors: Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson.
Bad Actors: Kristen Stewart. She is the epitome of HORRIBLE acting.

So that puts most Disney actors and actresses in between meaning they shouldn’t be “actors”
With singers.. Well a “good singer” is someone who makes people feel things through their songs and voice. They are also people who sell a lot of albums…Now…Disney singers…what do they do? They can connect with people and they sell a lot of albums.

Oh and Connor…What the heck? I saw that graph and laughed. That’s such a lie. Disney has NEVER promoted children under the age of 15 to date. I’ve watched Disney ever since I can remember, and I have NEVER ONCE seen someone under 15 dating. So…Wouldn’t that make Disney our neighbors?

Disney Channel is terrible.
Half naked people strutting around- actually there are none
issues to adult oriented for little 10 year-olds to understand- Hannah Montanna, that’s so raven, every other reality program that plays on that channel

I’m with Anie. There’s nothing objectionable on the Disney Channel except for the fact the scriptwriting isn’t very original – the preteen shows on Nick are far better. iCarly rules the universe. Y’know how I know? ‘Cuz I WATCH THE SHOWS WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER. Occasionally. Uh, and not creepily obsessed with Mylie either thankyouverymuch. Yecch. Golden rainbows and candy don’t shoot out the collective asses of the Disney corporation, but they’re certainly not the worst offenders by a very long shot.

OTOH I’ve taken to calling the ABC Family Channel the ABC Panties Channel, since so much of its evening programming consists of 20ish girls running around in their underwear. That network isn’t fit for viewing by anyone ever.

Exactly what content are people so up in arms about? Every show is about self-empowerment and friendship. This graph was just a thoughtless excuse to bash Disney. does anyone know what ages are included in “little girls?”
because in all honesty, “little girls” to me is 3-7, and in that age group, most of them wouldn’t have the attention span for glee, and are probably still watching playhouse disney anyways, so there really shouldn’t be that much concern over them watching cheaters and beyonce videos because they wouldn’t like them.

Shows I watched when I was little: He-Man (that about covers the near-naked people thing), She-Ra, Turtles, Spider-Man, Bucky O’Hare, Saber Rider, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Gargoyles, Animaniacs, Dexter’s Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Space Ghost, Star Trek, McGyver, A-Team, Knight Rider.

I’m pretty sure there are equivalent shows around these days. But oh wait – if we follow the sterotyping, then they’re being watched by boys only.

Got to agree with badinerie and Kit. True, it’s been awhile since I last watched more than ten seconds of Disney Channel, but I’m also 23 and *I’ve* never even seen Cheaters. I’m not sure this represents at all an accurate cross-section of what little girls watch. If it does… Geez, well, at least I’m not a little girl anymore.
