You nailed it right on the head.

  3. Morgris says:

Possibly because easy classes simply don’t look good on a transcript, it’s like saying that a gun looks good to pacifists. Getting kinda sick of these bad paradox graphs.

  4. Stephanie says:

Aren’t classes suppose to be challenging? I would think that if the course is that easy, you need to be taking more difficult classes (or, if it’s a basic requirement, push through it until you get to the good stuff). Easy classes are nearly, by definition, boring because it’s that easy chances are you already have that knowledge. It’s little fun, learning about what you already know.

    • mld says:

not necessarily. It depends on how you define easy. For me, most psychology classes are “easy” simply because (for me) I get the material far more easily, and have an intuitive grasp of it, than say, pre-calc (which others may find easy). I find the term easy to be subjective.

Look up the word “paradox” will you.

    • jl5691426 says:

Indeed – I guess the class in which one learns a vocabulary didn’t satisfiy any of the graph author’s criteria for desirability.

  6. Professor Paradox says:

May I suggest that all these people who make the “paradox” graphs register for “WTF-100: The Definition of the Word Paradox” next semester.

  7. Philip says:

The “three good characteristics, where the combination of two is simply the lack of the other, and the combination of three is impossible” – graph is kinda overdone.
Find something else, this is getting boring.

Also, they don’t make sense: the part of the graph which is only “easy” isn’t interesting or looks good on transcript. Therefore, the “looks terrible on transcript” and “boring” parts aren’t limited to the combination of “easy” and “interesting” or “easy” and “looks good on transcript” respectively.

    Graphing fail.
