  1. wombot says:

Although if you had to remember to do something at midnight, that would be quite handy.

  2. wombot says:

For example if you were Cinderella.

  3. crack says:

    More bars in more places????

  4. Christine says:

Probability of spelling words wrong… 100%

  5. Nash says:

Late at night is good for more than remembering; I find it also works with ideas. I kept a notepad by my bed because I often had a bunch of ideas when I was trying to sleep. I was writing dialog and stuff in my head, so I figured it made more sense to write it on paper. Ideas on paper are less volatile than ideas in memory.

When my brain isn’t occupied, it doesn’t waste that time, instead it starts thinking about stuff. Good CPU usage, even though the stuff it decides to think about is often pointless. Still, I’ve gotten a lot of good writing done when I was supposed to be, and failing at, sleeping.

The downside with this, apart from not being able to sleep, is spacing out when you’re doing something which doesn’t take any mental effort. For example, waiting around to help someone do bench presses. My mind drifts until I’m suddenly roused by cries for help, as the person in question has gotten tired and has a heavy object hovering over the throat area.

    • that guy says:

can i buy some pot from you

    • Me says:

You are wrong about that. from reading your post, I can assure you that it does not make more sense when you write them out.

    • Devylan says:

I love the example of spotting someone doing bench presses. Great mental image. Although, you didn’t strike me before as someone who actually participates in such an activity, but I’ve been wrong before.

      • Nash says:

Well, I don’t anymore. I did exercise for a while with friends, because of awful stamina and muscle mass, and it doesn’t help that I do a lot of sitting. Nowadays I walk a lot though, so at least I get some exercise. Walking is transportation and exercise combined, so it’s efficient use of time. It’s also cheap and there are no rules to follow.

    • BR says:

@Nash — couldn’t have said it better myself. My brain definitely has its creative moments as I’m dozing off. A non-trivial amount of the useful work I’ve done over the past few years has its origins in various scribbles in the pad I keep on my nightstand.

And yes, daydreaming while spotting a guy who has 200kg directly above his face or crotchal area or whatever is… suboptimal.

  6. HistoryMaker says:

Do a lot of people really go to bed before midnight?

  7. mamarosa says:

    This graph lacks specifics.
Would be better if there were more bars for specific events, such as:

    taking the garbage out

    picking up dry cleaning

  8. anon says:

The probability of you remembering how to spell probability correctly is apparently quite low.

  9. Steve says:

Confused I am. Shouldn’t midnight come before brushing my teeth before bed?

  10. Rúben says:

  11. mizz kitteh says:

  13. Rúben says:

loool, mizz,…only remember when we don’t need it no more xD

  14. Ferdbags says:

At Midnight I still have like 3 or 4 hours to get whatever it is done, handy!

  15. Lucas says:

OMG I love this graph, it just saved my grade… it made me remember my homework due tomorrow xP

  16. Sam says:

how ’bout in an elevator with a stranger?

Yelling out “Kingdom of Fear” really loud and then sighing cuz a minute ago i wanted to kill myself for not remembering the name of the book. That can really freak people out, try it sometime :D

  18. philip says:
