Well this is very colorful and exciting, in’it?
no ,
you suck
*Shrugs*
Not a whole lot to the graph and it’s not like they blow EVERYTHING up.
Yea…they sometimes just set it on fire.
Well, more often than not they at least attempt to blow everything up.
Or just sink it. But what the hey, if I got paid to do childish things for “science” I would jump at the chance, wouldn’t you?
Name one thing they did blow up or attempt to blow up. (the contagious yawn myth does not count)
They tested whether driving with the tailgate down gave you better gas mileage and nothing blew up. In fact, I think they did a whole episode on fuel efficiency and nothing exploded.
They didn’t explode stuff when attempting to break out of jail using salsa, or when they tested ways to keep champagne fresh, or when they tested the whole eye-patch/night-vision thing. In fact, quite a few myths don’t end in explosions.
I still laughed at the graph, though.
Well, it is a little much to claim that they blew EVERYTHING up, but it does seem that 90% of the episodes contain at least one explosion.
No, every episode has an explosion, just not every myth. There was one episode where they rigged buster up with explosives just because there had been non all episode.
You know, why does it matter if they blow sh!t up? I mean, I would LOVE to do that. Quit crying about it because you can’t do something so mind blowingly (excuse the pun) fun as blowing the hell out of some stuff.
There was a hydrogen backfire in the fuel efficiency episode. It was unplanned and small, but it was an explosion.
Champagne fresh was in the first holiday special which, IIRC, included hundreds of lights on a tree which created quite the inferno.
Eyepatch/night-vision was the pirate special. They blew stuff up. Lots of stuff.
in the fuel efficiency myth one of the engines caught on fire
and with the salsa one
adam made a homemade drill that did blow apart in his hands
which can still count
Raising the ship with ping-pong balls.
i wonder why your feeds are not updated as frequently as your blog
I like this method.
Yes… I like it very much… >: D
The only disappointing thing is no mention of Kari and her sweet ass.
What’s even more diappointing is that she is married…*long sigh*. Seriously, I’d tap that like a maple tree.
I’d extract syrup all night long.
She recently had a child, as well.
This is also the Top Gear method.
And the Jack Hodgins method.
Hell Ya
Hate to change the subject, but this “graph” is not one. Perhaps you might call it a flow-chart, if you looked at it sideways from about 100 yards away, but I don’t really get the point of the green star, red arrow, etc. Maybe it is a hidden reference to lucky charms?
I think it had a lot of potential to be a good flow chart, without even going for much deeper humor. Something like “Do the experiment” > “Did it blow up?” > “Yes” > “Blow it up harder!”
shut up mythbusters is awesome and its a graph and how did lucky charms get into this
well, at least it (still) works
I hope this formula never changes!
Wow… best graph posted in FOREVER!
If it doesn’t work, than obviously the only solution is to blow it up. If it does work…well, there’s no rationalizing that, but it’s still awesome!
If it worked it already blew itself up!
Yeah, that’s true. I didn’t take that into account.
OMG SO TRU LOLOLOLOL!1!1!1!1!111!!
Haha jk, Mythbusters turns me into such a fangirl!
me and my friend joke about that all the time. Great
well that is why the show is awesome
Well its an effective method. I loooove that show
And the problem with that is?
Exactly why we watch it
Calm down people, it’s meant to be funny. And while no, they don’t blow up/destroy/sink/ignite every experiment, because not every experiment has combustable components, when it does, they do it. It’s all part of the fun. Just like this. FUN. Get the poles out of your butts and look at it the way it is meant to, a joke.
This. I have the Mythbusters friended on Facebook, and I’m fairly certain Adam runs that page, and he posted this link with the title “Hilarious!”, so I’m sure they don’t need people defending the 100% veracity of the flow chart. If the Mythbusters find it amusing, I think it’s a victory.
Hmmm…I tried posting this info earlier, but my comment didn’t go through. Anyway, I can confirm Random Wanker’s story, so haters can go STFU. :-p
hahahaha. this is hilarious. i love it. we’d watch mythbusters all the time in my physics class in high school, it’s great stuff.
Erm… WTH? Tis liek tellin ya peeps a joke about a duck who cant fly and ya peeps would go liek “But ducks can fly!!!”. I dun care if ducks can or cant fly. Blow it up and neither will u.
i agree only true geeks would get pissed off at the 90% efficacy of this graph god bless the internet
Explosions are fun. Science is also fun. Science where stuff explodes is OMG AWESOME. Therefore, Mythbusters is one of the top five shows of all time (along with Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1, and two others I can’t remember the names of).
the gaurd dog experiment and also the banna slip experamint
but its true theyt do haver an explosipon every episoid
its friken funny
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
