But, do you believe our system to be better? We already live in a system where someone picks and chooses who gets to live based on whether they can afford it – they’re called health insurance companies and you may pay them to insure you, but once you become a net loss in their eyes, they start looking for a way to cut you loose, because their main priority is not providing health care, but creating profit for themselves. Yes, Canada’s, Germany’s, UK’s, etc. have their own flaws, but everyone does have the ability to get some at least basic level of care without going bankrupt. You are concerned about potential “death panels” for senior citizens, what about all the people who die in our current system because they are not able to get health insurance due to pre-existing conditions, or because once their insurance company realizes they are getting to expensive, the company looks for an out, any out, to be able to unburden themselves from the cost? So I guess the question is one of numbers – will fewer people be made to suffer and die under our current system or under one that has a public option? Note that private options can still exist, as in the case in Germany with health care, or to cite examples in other sectors in the U.S.: mail (post office, UPS, FedEx), transportation (public v. cars), libraries (public v. bookstores) ).

Actually, the small circle should be mostly embdedd in the right circle and growing every day. Obama is a nice guy – but he has too little experience for the job title. If this country were a company – he’d be fired before year-end.

I predict that this country’s second black president (whenever that happens) will be elected based on merit of his experience and actual merit of his promises, and will be a good president. Obama will dissapoint because too much was expected of him – and he is just not going to meet all those expectations – no way no how.

Kelly, you sound like an honest person, BUT ! Everyone you like or love is counting on you to find out who’s telling the truth, and who’s lying to you. The one side want whats best for themselves and their money. They dont want rules or regulations, they want to pollute and poison the world and not be responsible for it. They want to charge you as much as they can, even for stuff that will kill ya. The other side wants whats good for all of us and the planet, and yes it may cost a little more, but not as much as your going to pay later, Aren’t you, your family and friends worth it ? You should really find out, listen to all sides, but be careful and check it all out. Were counting on YOU, Cause we need Honesty People on our side. REALLY !

I love how people try to make some argument, but are immediately called an idiot, and told they know nothing by someone with the opposite opinion. If this graph was made by humans, then the middle circle should be practically non-existent; since information available to the public has already been so convoluted by bias everywhere that it is impossible to know what is fact versus opinion.

Not only has it come across as “flaming”, it’s also wrong in several aspects. Being the largest purchasing market in the world, when the US economy flops, it creates a worldwide recession.
Also, the US economy by GDP is the biggest in the world, and has been for decades. GDP per capita in the US isn’t even top five, and hasn’t been for decades.
While the US has many of the richest people on Earth, it also has some twenty million people living in poverty (depending on how you define “poverty”).
I’m not sure about statistics for economic growth, but I know the USA isn’t near the top for that as well (for ever a decade). Some of the largest sustained growth (by percent) is recorded in China, India, and Botswana, among others. If anybody really needs to see the data, I can do some looking and present actual numbers.

I love how people who are conservative, right wing, or whatever, while Bush was president, would say “if you don’t like our country, then leave”. Now; however, they still think they can say it when they are no longer in power. The liberals are in control now, so if you don’t like their decisions and opinions, then leave. That is how it works.
