Isn’t this intuitive and directly proportional to your ISP?
WTF am I missing here?
torrent dl’s are always 500kbs then around 99.6% .04kbs for a few days? ITS PRETTY AWSOME
Yeah, it’s the same with torrents. This is one of the most accurate graphs on GraphJam.
BBQ
BBQ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
it’s a Team Fortress 2 challenge. kinda like a hadouken.
I just want a BBQ.
You are a man who watches too much porn on the internet. Anyone want a real man look me up.
yes cause a real mans name is always named Todd and how don’t you know its a woman who watches too much porn?
I have a theory that “Todd” doesn’t actually exist, and is just a bunch of trolls trying, and failing, to start an Internet Meme. They do it on Graph Jam because there are no avatars here. Any of the other linked Sites around here would show a different avatar for each of the trolls posting as “Todd,” thus ruining the illusion that they are all the same person. We are on to you now, “Todd.” You can stop trolling here.
Also, I see that you did not specify that you wanted a woman this time… Very interesting…
We can’t look you up, you hide in your mom’s basement…
Actually this could happen if you are downloading broken torrents or less seeded torrents. But it’s not always true.
its likely and occurs often you jew is any graph on here 100% always true damn what do u want
That was my download yesterday. Started with 700Kb/sec (still pretty d*mn slow, but there you are) and ended up with 29Kb/sec, showing that there were 48 hours left to the end of the download.
I just want to know what they’re serving at the WTF BBQ.
Who measures speed in terms of car?
Personally, I find that it’s the slowest at 0% as it takes like 20% of the load time, just getting to 1% Then it gets about half way and stops again. Then it goes very slowly until about 90% at which point it jumps up to 100% and then stops for another 10% of the load time before it completes.
Sounds like some people use bad quality torrent sites. I always get 10mb/s 100% of the time.
Torrents actually do slow down at the last few % because it becomes harder to find the pieces you’re missing. It’s not really noticeable unless the file is huge or you have slow speeds tho.
Am I the only one who does not see this slow speed at the end of torrent downloads?
It all depends on how well seeded the torrent is. If you’re downloading the newest episode of House MD, for example, and you have like a gazillion seeders, chances are you won’t notice a slowdown all the way.
However, if it’s not a popular torrent, there’s only a handful of seeders, the original uploader isn’t around or has a slow connection, then you can have trouble downloading the last few pieces. Which is why it will slow down towards the end.
eMule (the “ancestor” of torrent, classic pvp app) has this too. I would get full speed for like 95%, then the rest takes like forever.
This is a natural function of torrenting – when you download at the start you need all the pieces, and everyone offers them. At the end, you only need 2 or 3 more pieces, and you happen to be getting them from the worst hosts in the torrent. You’ve been getting those pieces from those slow people for a long time…and will continue to do so. Disconnect, then reconnect and hope a better host takes over the last few pieces.
