Um, this seems like kind of a repost. Or not quite. I mean, I’ve seen the joke a lot.
And I REFUSE TO SAY IT! I won’t. Not going to. I promise.
*resists*
I forgot to mention, even if it is a reused joke of sorts, this is a good graph.
However, you’d think there’d be some band that would make a song about not needing love at all. I dunno, maybe not. I’m no music expert.
Air Supply – All out of love.
And spare a thought for poor Trent from Nine Inch Nails as he sings:
“Why do you get all the love in the world??”
Also, Led Zeppelin gives All My Love.
And on the negative side of the y-axis – Elvis Presley – I’ll Take Love.
Tina Turner… What’s Love got to do with it?
What about “Making Love out of Nothing At All”?
There was a graph kind of like this if I remember correctly. It was a pie graph titled “what you need according to the Beatles” and the the whole pie was one color (red, I believe) and it was supposed to be love.
But I like this graph better.
Oh yes, I think I remember that one. Yes, this one is much better.
Diversity is awesome.
Genius.
Not clever at all.
Hmmm…either your expectations are too high, or you don’t know what cleverness is. This is clearly clever.
Neither is your face.
Nice. Really. But I do agree with “Ilove2learn” in that there should be a band for the “None” option, but maybe it just doesn’t exist. Maybe we should look into this.
Yeah, it needed something in none. There’s plenty of old (Sammy Hagar – I Don’t Need Love, Gloria Estefan – I Got No Love) and new (The Kooks – Got No Love, MCR – I Don’t Love You) that would fit the bill.
“All the Love You Need” != ” All You Need Is Love”
Beyond “none” = Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It”
What would that area of the Y-axis be labeled?
…The Y-axis IS the one on the side, right?
Sorry, bad memory.
Less than None?
Plus you have Queensryche who wouldn’t even acknowledge Love (“I Don’t Believe in Love”), or Exodus who won’t give it (“No Love”).
I was thinking of the exact same Queensryche song. Good call.
Now I’m hearing all 4 songs in my head SIMULTANEOUSLY.
That’s quite a feat.
Well, really it goes something like “All you need is…one love…” and so on. haha
Data could do it. (Vague Star Trek TNG reference)
By the way, I’m so glad this graph has nothing to do with Miley Montana or Jonah’s Brothers or any other “no-talent ass-clowns” hehe.
10cc: I’m not in love

Good call, I knew there had to be a 0 value somewhere in music.
i love the beatles! i was just talking with someone today about “educational” channels like PBS kids and like that. i said that if they were truly educational they would air the beatles cartoons. you want to educate kids? ok, lets teach them what REAL music sounds like!
Clever.
Witty but you forgot in an elevator!!
Where would that fall? Same as “One Love” Between one and two?
What about Depeche Mode and Strangelove? Or Love, In Itself? Freelove?
AC/DC: Shot of Love
Björk – All is full of love : )
Yay. one of my favorites.
Where’s Dionne Warwick? She had “All The Love In The World”
Must try harder!
(Still a good graph, even if bbbb is right)
one love by bob marley = absolute epicness
Bottom line shoulda been:
“stinks”
(J. Geils Band)
Oh, what an excellent choice!
laame bob marley was all about love
It’s freaky how while I was looking at the graph one (love) by u2 started playing on the radio!
Don’t forget Smokey Robinson’s “More Love” & Leonard Cohen’s “Dance Me To the End of Love.”
The Trews – Gone is the one I (from I can’t stop laughing)
The “zero” position should be read “All Out of Love” and Air Supply should be the band.
Love minus zero by Dylan is one option…
Amen to that!
Beatles ftw hands down!!
