  1. FIRST says:

hELLO? I’m FIRST!! DIDN’T YOU KNOW THAT?

  2. gtfo says:

    oh hi

  3. John says:

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I could care less about ultimate frisbee now that I’m 29 years old. There’s still people my age who play all the time and I have absolutely no desire to ever play again.

  4. The Frisbee says:

    WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  5. ay dios mio says:

After being in college I’m convinced that people “play” frisbee simply to convince themselves that they are still active

  6. tiben1 says:

I am surrounded by disc golfers myself…don’t get

  7. John Brier says:

this is sad, but that pretty much is exactly true for me. I played Winter league after college and haven’t played since. I miss it though. I miss team running on the field and cutting and pretty everything else. :-( if they played closer to me I’d probably be more willing to do it.

  8. Gustav says:

What bugs me is the people who just call it “ultimate”. Stop being pretentious! It’s just a stupid hybrid game you made up because you’re too wussy to play football or too out of shape to play soccer.

    • Glowing Monkeys says:

First of all, I believe that the “ultimate” in “Ultimate Frisbee” just means its the best version of a frisbee game, not of all sports. Second, did it ever occur to you that some people may be perfectly capable of playing football or soccer, but don’t enjoy it, or enjoy ultimate frisbee more? I personally enjoy all three.

    • Gashloog says:

The sport IS called “Ultimate”, you dolt.
“Frisbee” is the name of a specific brand of disc, it just happens to be the most widely known. They aren’t being pretentious.
My name links to the article.

  9. Fay says:

As I am going to start (proper) college in a month, I shall make it my resolution to enjoy ultimate frisbee. Even though I really don’t know how it differs from regular frisbee, or what the rules are.

    • ay dios mio says:

trust me all the kids in college who work out or still play sports whether in college leagues or in adult leagues just make fun of all the frisbee kids out on the green pretending to play a sport.

  10. Jellyott says:

Ultimate Frisbee is the most retarded “sport” on the face of the planet. How is throwing a frisbee into a basket fun?

  11. GS says:

Jelly you are an idiot… that is frisbee golf or frolf…

Ultimate Frisbee is running, cutting, defense, constant movement. Way more tiring that any other sport that i’ve played.

  12. mojojo says:

I had a high school teacher that played. He was in his late 20s and well out of college. We tried playing him once. I just couldn’t keep up. I was only happy I didn’t make an arse out of myself by throwing the frisbee way out of bounds. Frisbees and I…well they…they just don’t usually go where I want them. Which is why I suck at disc golf too.

  13. cmc says:

for some of us “teens” we love it ¦D

  14. claribel says:

Actually, this graph really hits home for me. I’m still in college, but I don’t really see myself playing after I graduate, so it works.

And Ultimate frisbee is very active, I don’t know how you guys play it or have seen it played but when my friends and I play there is no stopping and no breaks. You pretty much just run and leap and fall on your face (esp in the middle of the night when the grass is wet) the whole time. There’s one version where you play in pitch black with light up frisbees and glow-sticks wrapped around your wrists (different colors for different teams). I’m not trying to pass it off as a real sport, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a lot of fun and an extremely active game. (much more so than just tossing a frisbee, which I get the feeling is what some of you are imagining)

We also play midnight games of Capture the Flag across campus. You “real sports” players might make fun of us, but I promise we are having a lot more fun than you are :)

    • MJB says:

“I’m not trying to pass it off as a real sport” … honestly? You’re one of those kids who was never good at sports so you play them very loosely with no competition so they aren’t even fun. If you actually played Ultimate you would know that it’s just as much of a sport as football or basketball. Please have the respect to acknowledge my sport as a sport, and don’t try to claim you play if you f around with a disc in the middle of the night.

  15. Katie says:

My 16-year-old daughter is on a team. There is no basket involved, and she and her teammates are EXHAUSTED when they are done. It’s one heck of a workout.

  16. Alcari says:

Pff, I much prefer Full-contact frisbee.
Basically, it’s keep-away with a frisbee, where the only rule is “Grab it”.

  17. mary G says:

No, actually, the teen section should be at “why the heck are we even playing this stupid, retarded game”,which would be below the “who cares” mark. ^-^
