It’s a shame, the first film wasn’t half-bad. People who make 3D films have no idea how to make sequels. Even Toy Story 2 was a little saccharin.

Dinosaurs were gone from the Earth for FIFTY MILLION YEARS before any mammals (i.e. the characters in “Ice Age”) showed up. Gone. Extinct. Nothing but fossils. FIFTY MILLION YEARS. Gone. Movie = stupid. Don’t care if it’s an animated comedy fantasy, it’s stupid.

Fun fact: In the first Ice Age movie, the creators originally had a scene where Scrat was going to talk. It was in the scene where Manny, Diego, Sid, and the baby stopped and asked him for directions. They asked if he’d seen any humans, and originally, Scrat was going to say, “No, but I saw some tige–” and at that second, Diego would have him in his jaws. They decided to let him live and make him do cherades and have Diego flick him away.

I must be the only one, but even though I liked the first movie, that freaking squirrel is kind of boring. It was funny for maybe the first 800 times. Now it’s almost annoying. I totally love Sid and Diego though.
