Can also substitute Lego for Hotwheels and Matchbox cars quite easily. Some of those have rather sharp bits. Place a few dozen in a dark hallway on the way to the bathroom and use your imagination.

LEGO is either the brand name or the group noun of their products, neither of which can be pluralised, the individual unit (i.e. the LEGO brick) can however be pluralised.

Are people ACTUALLY having a conversation on the proper usage of Lego as if it is a word in the language? Really? Lego is, indeed, a product name. You can say Lego, Legos, Legotastic, Legotomy, it really doesn’t matter. If Lego is a created corporate name there is no correct or incorrect usage. Wow.

Also, as a kid, I can’t imagine this conversation:
“You want to play with Legos?”
“Excuse me, my young lad friend, but the correct usage is ‘Lego Bricks’, so no. I will now go be with folk that employ proper usage of this corporate trademark! Good day, sir!”
“But it’s just a toy that…”
“I said ‘Good Day’!”

the plural of “lego” is most definitely not “lego”. you know how i know this? when i was a kid, i had a whole frickin tub of LEGOS. with an “s”. so did many of my friends. legos are not deer, or salmon, or any other noun that is an exception to normal pluralization rules.

besides, “let’s go play with lego!” sounds like a suggestion from a poor kid.

What about multiple Lego boxes? I know that my boys have 1 in their room, 1 in the living room, 1 by their “work table”, and another one in my car (honestly have NO idea why it’s in there – but they keep telling me it has to stay in there). Then the Lego can be in the box, but not in the room.

Silly people, the graph CLEARLY shows that the box was in the doorway to the child’s room, was tipped over (ow, i stubbed my toe!), spilling the Lego(s) through the doorway into the hall. Then the perpetrator stepped in the pile with one foot, (ow, %$#&!) and is currently hopping on the OTHER foot (hence them not being on the floor).

1. Lego is more than just bricks. The bricks are the cheapest and interchangeable … But the tiny Star Wars figures break the bank, (and a kindergarteners’ mood when they disappear).

2. Consider adding two other ‘relationship’ circles:
a. the Lego which disappeared in the vacuum cleaner, and
b. the Lego which disappeared while ‘on loan’ to friends
