I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this is actually a clever and well made graph.
That comment would have made more sence if your name was “a Caveman”
The Cow – so wracked with MadCowDisease that Caveman looks like dinner!
I agree actually.
Thanks.
haha
I’m going to have to say no. What is the X Axis?
Yeah its clever but not well made.
Not well made is a bit of an understatement, I’m afraid.
x is time, y is predicted time of flying cars.
I agree
As do I.
Absolute genius. A++
Me, I can wait the twenty years. No, wait… Argh.
Cars don’t fly, stupid. That’s planes.
i forget, but there are some prototypes. they don’t fly for long or in real situations… but hey, they fly!
they should work on getting a BoatCar into every rednecks garage
My car flies.
I wish Captain Crunch were in that car…
Humans let science fiction writers down.
Technology may be fast, but it may be slow too.
Electric cars are not used by all drivers yet.
I think it might be ironic if in 20 years they do finally invent a flying car, but it needs to run on a gasoline powered engine, and by then everyone will have switched to electric motor.
What is the independent variable? The x-axis has no value. NOT a well made graph. Good idea. Could have been executed better.
Sorry, I must have missed the better graph you submitted.
Of course, you have to make good graphs to be a graph critic, just like you have to actually make movies to be a movie critic!
And how only people who can perform better criticize professional athletes.
Indeed. This would have worked better as a graph if the two axes had been ‘Year’ and ‘Predicted year by which flying cars would exist’. A single line would define the relationship between the two variables much more clearly.
*waits for someone to tell him to pull the pole out of his ass*
Hey Kodgetts, why don’t you pull the pole out of your ass?
X-axis should be current date, Y-axis should be expected flying cars date. There should only be one line on the graph.
It would have made more sense, but would have been less funny visually.
Does this graph have time plotted against time?
Yes you’re right on.
And it should not be a straight line. It should be exponential or logarithmic or something, either with predicted date getting further away from actual date (likely) or closer (I don’t think we’re ever going to have flying cars. We drive badly enough on the ground as it is.)
How about this…
X-axis: Year
Y-axis: Number of years until we have flying cars
Graph: Horizontal line at ~20 years
Predicted date I will get laid – never
Poser, at least get some originality. Geez.
Poser, that’s a little better.
Predicted date you did stop talking to yourself – June 26 2009.
Graph does not work…has no label for X-Axis…
Just imagine there are generic time labels.
True, but you can basically infer one off the red line and the Y-axis.
And you must admit, it IS pretty funny.
Is his mom hot? Cause that wouldn’t be so bad then… XD
Predicted date you mom gave me head – today
Doc Brown said we’d have flying cars by 2015. And he said it in 1985, before showing Jennifer and Marty that he was telling the truth while simultaneously blowing Biff’s mind and making him question his own sexuality.
It was lllooonnnggg!
I think I heard that they already have flying cars, but flying roads would be too difficult/expensive.
The road thing is one of the many problems with the flying cars idea. People have enough difficulty and cause enough accidents in two dimensions–can you imagine trying to get them to drive well in three? Flying cars are just impractical, for many reasons. So yeah, we could totally have them, but it’s not worth it.
Flying cars, pffff, how about small personal planes?
We actually have flying cars, just not for the general public
Who would need a flying car if you had a underwater car?
Of course, there’s sky EVERYWHERE and the ocean is in select places, so it would be more efficient.
But, I would prefer an underwater car. Because…it’s and underwater car. No explanation needed.
you know those people who are getting ready to work while they drive? you know, the ones who are putting on make-up, drinking coffee, talking on the cell phone, and getting dressed all at once. do you really want them in control of a flying car? do. not. want!
Same thing as commercial pilots now days.
Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 95% plastic, he will be melted down in lieu of burial and made into lego blocks so that little children can play with him for a change.
FAIL.
it looks like they might collide at like 2100!!
–sweet ^^
Hmm.. I might have to freeze myself and ask to be thawed in 2100 then.
Hopefully the technology to bring a human back to life after being frozen will be invented by then as well. I think it follows the same graph as flying cars.
We have flying cars, they’re just not efficient enough to actually be useful to anyone.
Out of curiosity, how would a flying car differ from a small airplane or a helicopter?
Agree with critics. This graph is incomplete.
According to Wikipedia, flying cars have been around since like the 1930’s.
this is a terrible graph, and doesn’t make any sense. what’s on the x axis? cuz otherwise, these things are happening on the same date.
Also true about Fusion Power.
there are flying cars. i read it on the wallstreet journal. the problem is that you need one hell of a liscense and its inconvienient to go to an airport and back to to get from home to work.
Wow this should be on failblog.
The red line shouldn’t be there. It should be the x-axis. And it would still be not funny.
Actually, this is pretty intriguing, as the trends themselves are pretty constant and not perfectly parallel; theoretically, one could extrapolate the lines until they have a point of intersection to determine when the current date equals the date predicted. That is, the date when they will exist.
i dont understand why that car would need wheels. unless it was a fancy 2-in-one type
