What are the chances of some one driving backwards on a freeway twice?
They could’ve easily changed the graph title to “reasons for CRASHES on the freeway.” So many idiots staring at accidents end up causing one. Like mothes to a flame.
Ah. Well, traffic doesn’t go well with it I guess. Accidents would have been better. Traffic is just a freak of nature that seems to happen only when you’re in a hurry…

Cars entering the freeway that have not attained highway cruising speeds by the end of the on ramp.
That’s why it is called an acceleration lane.
Except that in some parts of Louisiana, they actually have yield signs at the end of some of the on ramps. Yeah, not cool.
And driving in Germany I noticed they tend to slow (sometimes to a stop) until the lane they are trying to merge into is clear….that is not fun times, let me tell you.
This should be on the fail blog as others have noticed it says “Reason for traffic on the freeway” instead of Reason for traffic jams on the Freeway!!!” Read what you write people or you too can be a FAIL entry.

This graph is really stupid and it doesn’t even make sense. Do you actually know what traffic is?
I get this, but it’s not very amusing. My brother was just in a car accident and almost died.
traffic is a good band
Not always people slowing down to “look”… the presence of emergency vehicles can cause a sense of caution that slows people down a bit, leading to traffic compression at that point… see traffic waves article.

Fail. Traffic is on the freeway because people drive their cars to get somewhere. “Traffic” does not mean “traffic jams”, “traffic delays” or “traffic backups”. It means “people and/or vehicles using the road”.
clearly you don’t live in Canada, as we appear to be big fans of merging pairs of highways. And closing off 1 more lane than necessary during an accident
