This graph is an epic fail, no matter how true it is.

  7. Elfking says:

A bit of a fail, I must say.
The truth is definitely out “there,” as “there” can refer to any place, and there is truth everywhere. It is a DEFINITELY, not a “below maybe” which this graph implies.

  8. Shancery says:

    Who voted FOR this?

  9. x says:

    The truth is out there!

  10. Bee says:

Less than $4 a gallon? You Americans are practically giving it away. Over here (The Netherlands), you pay about €1,30 per liter (haven’t checked lately, don’t own a car).
I’ll let you do the math.

Why the hell does Graph Jam suck now?

  12. nah-nah hey-hey says:

    i greatly appreciate the x-files reference :]]]

  13. Segaphile says:

This graph is an epic win, for three reasons.

    1 – It represents a truism
2 – It uses a popular movie reference
3 – It quotes the X-Files (the truth is out there)
4 – It comments on a societal problem

4 fold win. Those of you who don’t get the X-Files reference… well… that’s your fault for not knowing of the best show ever created.

    That is all.

    • Shancery says:

Okay, we get that you jizzed your pants over an x-file reference, but what kind of values are yes, no and maybe? Some one like you just wanted to reference x-files and a movie, and did a crappy (at best) job at making a graph. It’s so bad of a fail.

    • poop says:

      but it’s not even funny…

  14. Segaphile says:

Secondly, the video of idiots posting signs on the walls of Shell and other gas companies…

Perhaps if they’d look at profit margins a little closer. Gas companies make approximately 5-8 percent profit a year on gasoline. The reason numbers are so high, is because they sell a commodity, not a luxury.

Our government, however, takes away approximately 14 percent of proceeds from Gasoline through various convoluted taxes.

Gas prices are high for two reasons – Oil Future Trading and our Government’s meddling. If they’d get their dirty hands out, perhaps things would be a little different, but they themselves have lead the fight to demonize petroleum companies, and the American people have fallen right in step.

  15. Jocasta says:

    I have a policy about truth…

  16. John says:

    AYREON WIN!

  17. Leary says:

“For the truth shall set you free”
is a Lamb of God lyric from Laid to Rest.
Probably not where you got it from but hey, thats a brilliant song.
