  2. maestro says:

    Simple but full of win.

  3. Perry Neum says:

Yep, and the “Things Twittered” circle could be changed to “All things Web 2.0″ for me.

    • Amelia says:

i feel like graph jam is part of 2.0… yet here you are.

      • Perry Neum says:

Oh really? Where’s the “interactive” part where I get to advertise what I’m doing all the time. And where’s my profile where I get to advertise my resume, interests, and other bs that has no place on a public forum?

I do believe there were entertainment sites that allowed comments before linkedin, cloud computing, myspace, facebook, etc…ad infinitum.

        • deanb says:

Web 2.0 is user generated content, be it a profile page, or graph’s n lolcat’s.
You just described Social networking, which is but a part of Web 2.0.

          • Plum says:

So what was Web 1.0 before it became commercialised, if not user-generated? I remember the early days in 95-96 when the web wasn’t about people trying to sell you stuff, but people sharing their enthusiams and communicating with each other = social networking.

It’s not the web that’s moved on, just the tools, although it seems that the average age of users has descended just as rapidly.

        • a dubs says:

if you dont like it, theres always parcheesi

        • spartacus says:

Yet here we are…socializing. On the web.

More specifically, here YOU are, sharing your opinions about things…which nobody asked for…on the web. In a social manner.

You might as well have tweeted this, Perry…just saying…

  4. TheProdigy says:

The ironic thing is the “Follow Graph Jam on Twitter!” right below the graph. >_>

I guess he’s saying that he doesn’t care about his own graph. *shrug*

  5. igloomccoy says:

Twitter is so stupid. That’s why I call everyone I know to tell them what I’m doing, in quick, ten second statements.

  6. UAV says:

I decree that henceforth, those who twitter will be referred to as “Twits”

  7. Lindy says:

    tewtelly rite awn…….tscharraaah

  8. Lindy says:

    King UAV….
    your decree noted
    how about
    adding little twitterers as
    “Twitlings”

    YORKLE

  9. Steve says:

    I cared about basement dad.

  10. Amilie says:

Haha yes! Sometimes you just need to share your thoughts in an outlet where no one is expected to care what you say, but at least there’s a possibility of someone reading it.

    • loser says:

get a friend, one that isn’t digital

      • Amilie says:

You seem confused… Allow me to clarify:

Twitter is for sharing thoughts with friends (digital or real) when you don’t expect anyone to actually care what you say. Real life is for talking to friends about things they want to talk about.

If I somehow insinuated that I have no friends in real life, I apologize for leading you to believe that someone else in the world was as pitiful as you are. Hope that clears things up! Have a splendid day! =)

  11. xxx says:

    Win. Twitter is stupid.

  12. Geez says:

Left circle should be labeled “This graph.”

(I hadn’t realized Twitter had reached the “it’s now cooler to hate it than love it” phase in society. I should start making snarky comments about it, apparently?)

    • forge says:

Twitter = American Idol. It was never cool, never clever, never any great monument to American ingenuity, nothing, no, not ever. Just because a bunch of f*cking idiots like to use it and talk about it doesn’t mean it’s valid culture.

    • Jess says:

      I second that

    • Sorcha says:

Amen. Hence the “follow” function, so you only read communications from people you’re interested in. Some of these people act like Twitter shot their dog and stole their Bible.

  13. Sam says:

    Truth.

  14. DarkCanuck says:

There is a surprising number of people commenting that have clearly never used Twitter and are clearly ignorant to it’s actual beneficial uses. I mainly follow companies that interest me and local groups, organisations and news feeds that allow me to stay up to date. Yes, Twitter is full of bullsh*t but only if you seek it out. Research something before you crap all over it.

  15. TheJackanape says:

I will crap on whatever I please, thank you.

  16. Bloopity says:

Yay! A venn diagram that is correctly made :) It took awhile, but I knew you all could do it

  17. Sorcha says:

I totally don’t get the hatred of Twitter and people who use it. If you don’t like it, nobody’s forcing you to read or use it. How anyone can muster that much negative emotion about something that’s pretty easy to avoid and ignore is beyond me.

  18. AnnaBanana says:

    TRUE DAT!!

  19. y2kkmac says:

    Hey, they’re mutually exclusive!
