2. Uncooked Ramen in Baggie.
3. Vending machine life-shorteners.
4. The age-old art of groaking (real word), which is watching someone eating in the hope that they will give you some.
5. Hot dogs.

Wrong, actually.
Ramen is gross and not vegetarian, so there is no way it is a staple for me. I’m a community college student and have found this wonderful tool – food stamps. They are fantastic!

Being a community college student the food pyramid for other people I see around the student center is fairly accurate, but I personally don’t understand why the other students would pay $3.50 plus tax for a slice of crappy pizza every day, and ultimately end up spending over fourteen dollars a week (eating a slice at each meal and having two meals at school) when you can spend that much and make something nutritious and better tasting by FAR to bring from home?

Do you put Vienna sausages in them sometimes? Really adds to the meaty flavor.

Those hot dogs with the cheese in them aren’t bad either, but the cheese can burn your tongue.

Dude, a lot of us just cook it in the microwave. After 2 minutes in the nuker, you can’t really tell the difference.

Plus, at 25 cents a serving, Ramen is the cheapest entree known to man. Even if you get all “fancy” and put Vienna sausages in it, it’s still cheaper than going to McDonald’s.

This pyramid shows the Community College Commuter diet. I’m a commuter to a university and my diet consists of ramen, mac’n'cheese, spaghettio’s and other stove top/microwaveable items. Only people who live on campus ever get energy drinks.

As for coffee… We have a Starbucks in our Student Center. xD But I never get it. As for the chart, flip it over so vending machines are in the biggest piece

I agree with the energy drink thing…
too expensive really, and none of my classes allowed open containers… had to have a lid… water bottle ftw.
aside from that, regular black coffee was 50 cents honor system in the cafeteria, you needed about 10 sugar packets to make it palatable but it was cheap.

or just a microwave and some tap water.
crumble dry ramens in bowl, add desired water amount, microwave in one minute increments until noodles are cooked to taste. add seasoning and eat.

Learned that in HS, don’t need water at all.
Eat the noodles uncooked, sprinkle on seasoning according to taste.
if you’re commuting, crush the noodles in a sammich baggie and pour seasoning over the top… munch happily.

yea… trade “can i get a bite” and vending machines…
actually, when i was at CC, most of my classes were in the eve when the cafe was closed. so i’d always stop at wawa or grab fast food on my way in, or just raid the vending machine. energy drinks weren’t that big at the time.
