Near as I can tell, this is incredibly accurate.
they’ve recently done some “improvements” near my house, every day I drive up and down the boulevard in question, my route zigging and zagging through the orange cone obstacle course… hoping that tomorrow, I might be able to stay in one lane all the way from one light to the next.
alas, the following morning, the same cones are still there.

Thats the point of the cones. They are put up when workers leave the site so that no one messes with what they were doing or whatever. When there is work going on, there is no point to the cones, b/c it is obvious what is going on.
No. That is wrong. Just wrong. There are cones there to divert traffic away from the workers. It is obvious you are going to kill a worker one day.
What if it was “nothing et al?”
I find this is very true in Wisconsin especially. There are only two seasons in Wisconsin. Winter and Construction. As soon as the snow is gone the orange barrels come out.
PennDOT doesnt even wait for winter to end! They, and the cheap townships screw the roads up starting before Christmas! And the barrels never go away during the night it seems, unless it’s the toll bridge commission, their guys are good and actually work!
