I did option 1 with Mr. Noodles all the time back in like, grade 1 and probably up until the end of high school, only got less frequent because I learned how much salt is actually in those things.

The issue isn’t about the typical consumption rate of college students, the issue is sloppy, nonsensical graph.

How many weeks are in the average quick lunch? How many average days are in the same week?

i’ll add: out-of-college student without a full time job and no health insurance: four packages a week for lunch at work. add one or two for lunch on the weekend, but that’s normally a snack in cup form for me.

Same here. In my 4 years of undergrad and 2 years of post-grad education, I ate ramen only a handful of times. It’s not like you can’t get other “real” food for cheap too. Get a job O_o

I’m a college student, and I’ve had a 12-pack of Ramen in my cupboard for a few months now, and I’ve only eaten two or three of them. I can’t eat them to much because of the taste they leave in my mouth.
But for the record, my college has a mandatory meal plan and there’s an ALDI store just a few minutes away for when that isn’t enough.

Personal faves:

1) Leave the bag closed, crush up the noodles until they’re loose, open up the bag and retrieve flavor packet, empty flavor packet into bag, pinch closed and shake. Eat as seasoned chips.

2) put the entire brick of noodles in a saucepan with flavor packet and some frozen broccoli, cover with water, lightly simmer until the water is almost gone (stirring occasionally). Voila, veggie lo mein. If you really want to make it trashy, melt a slice of cheese on top
