maybe the poster meant for all contestants to come under the whore and skank thing. its a long shot but maybe. i really dont like reality programs and a lot of people dont seem to. So who the hell is watching the shows enough to make them make more.

Anyone seen those commercials for that new dating show, The Cougar? Where like, this woman old enough to be your mom picks through all these 20-something year old guys? -shudders- I just don’t understand television anymore.

That’ll only be a good show if they introduce live cougars into the scene… that would be the most awesome show EVAR.
Calling people ’skanks and whores’ does not coincide with self-awareness. It’s as if you’re setting certain standards for sexual behaviour that everyone should apply to themselves, which is fairly archaic. You never hear someone calling him or herself a ’skank’ or a ‘whore’.
I have, lots of times, heck, a third of my female friends would call themselves skanks and whores.
you obviously don’t know much about feminism. Ill spare you the gory details becuase itll take a while. Just because most WOMEN ARENT feminists and therefore make themselves into victims unknowingly, very similar to the behavior of slaves in the 1800s who truly believed they NEEDED their masters, doesn’t mean that the terms “skank” and “whore” aren’t offensive and sexist.
this graph targets women, even though by definition these shows are 50% male. Thats why its sexist.
90% of my friends have referred to themselves as skanks or whores. We also use *gasp* the C word! Maybe it’s because we’re not prissy, self-involved, obnoxiously politically correct people…we completely understand it’s a WORD. That’s all. If there’s no malicious intent behind it, what’s the problem?
Edit: you also cannot be upset when the word is used maliciously but truthfully. Girls on reality dating shows like the ones on VH1 (Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, blah blah garbage blah) are definitely skanks and whores. They’re whoring themselves out for the chance to be on TV for an hour a week. Can’t get mad at the truth.
