But seriously, most social networking sites are like this…that’s why I avoid them for the most part…but Facebook is the worst because of applications…and FLAIR!!!!
Myspace is about 100x worse than Facebook…I can’t stand using Myspace. At least these facebook apps are all optional.

RankMyTyping’s point is that the bad part of Facebook is optional and can be ignored, while the bad part of Myspace (which is pretty much the entire site) can’t.
Um, yes you can block Apps on MySpace. Go to “My Account.” Then click on “Applications.” Then make sure “Allow applications to send me messages and comments” is unchecked. Be sure to hit “Save changes” as well. I also recommend checking “Notifications” to filter unwanted emails updates and whatnots.

No, they’re probably not talking about apps. They’re probably talking about the horrid layouts that myspace lets their users put up. It’s the modern day equivalent to geocities and angelfire sites of the mid 1990s to put it mildly.
Facebook are starting to do that.

I let people send me applications because I just like to see how much my friends are douches. I’ve made notes on my facebook about how stupid the apps are, and they don’t listen. It’s endlessly funny, especially when I just delete them all.
I seriously need to learn to do this… the ignore button is my friend, but I have yet to learn to use it
Some applications are *actually* useful, however most are only useful for wasting time…which is what college students are looking for. Oh procrastination! <3

I was top of my class in procrastination, and yet i still make anything up to £6000 a job, the school system WORKS.
