YES! YES! YES! FINALLY!! A SONG!!! YEEEEESSS!!!!

  2. LAME says:

    this is lame.

    • Ferris says:

you sir are lame. This is a kick ass song thank you very much

    • MLD says:

      This is actually quite clever

    • Paz says:

i agree with this guy this graph is a fail.

      • Not_you says:

that would be incorrect. this graph is a WIN.

        • Seddah says:

You would be incorrect. This graph is an epic fail. All the fanboys orgasming over it are even worse because YES, the song is fucking awesome, but NO, this graph is not. It makes no sense, references the lyrics inaccurately, and doesn’t even have labels for the x-axis.

You are an epic fail, sir.

          • pfft says:

I have a sneaking suspicion that you don’t know how to read graphs…

And an epic fail to you, sir.

          • ginganinja says:

True, sir, true. For example, “Bismillah” is spelled “Besmallah”-it means God is Good in Arabic (anyway that’s what bothered me about this graph)

            • Sonja says:

I don’t take issue with the spelling – transliterations vary. Plus, Freddy Mercury (AKA Farouk Bulsara) came from a family of Parsis – a Zoroastrian sect with Iranian roots. So, there was probably significant use of Farsi, which has very different phonological inventory.

But “Bismallah” doesn’t mean “God is good.” Maybe you are think of “Allahu Akbar,” which is “God is the Greatest.” Bismallah means “in the name of God” – B is with or in, Ism is name, and Allah is God.

The Basmallah/Besmallah is the full invocation: “Bismallah ar-rahman ar-rahim”
“In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Compassionate”
I’ve also heard it translated “the most Beneficent, the most Merciful”

Devout muslims use it for beginnings of all kinds, whether it’s starting a lecture or starting recitation of a prayer.

          • daave3 says:

no x-axis necessary. just read from left to right.

            • gwen says:

The graph already :has: an X-axis. The problem is that it’s not labeled–and, unfortunately, when you have an X-axis, a label :is: necessary, whether or not you can tell just by looking at it what it’s supposed to mean. That’s what makes it a graph. And while we’re discussing the axes, let’s point out that the Y-axis is labeled as some sort of probability, yet the Y values are lyrics, not increments of probability.
This graph has a lot of potential, but it needs someone with better graph skills to carry it out successfully. You wouldn’t ask Mariah Carey to sing “Bohemian Rhapsody,” would you?

          • QueenGraphAdorer says:

            The X axis is time
The Y axis reflects ascending levels of forte.

          • Bill says:

            X-AXIS – Time (82 bpm)

          • bill says:

u are an epic fail ur self. no go cut ur wrists.

          • Audball says:

Yes, I noticed that the lyrics are messed up on this graph…which is awful, given the song’s awesomeness.

  3. fragbert says:

    This one ROCKS!

    • The L says:

No. It says “Probability,” which makes no sense whatsoever in the context of the graph. This is graphical fail of a win song.

      • JL says:

He didn’t even label the x axis, it’s almost as if the graph was only intended for humourous purposes!

        Oh wait…
        ¬__¬

      • remolay says:

and it’s all 0. the singers of that band were Freddie Mercury and Brian Mays. listen to it, that is almost all Freddie

        • McClurg says:

FAIL! Brian May, not Mays. And they all sang at some point..

          • kashmir says:

Major fail. Roger Taylor has an amazing counter tenor voice and was the powerhouse behind the falsetto vocals.

            • Delia says:

but they still had to speed up his vocal track to get it to hit the highest notes.

              • kashmir says:

I’m fairly certain Roger Taylor was, at that point in his life, quite capable of hitting those high notes without needing help.

                • Roba says:

I was once small enough to swim in a 5-gallon bucket. Doesn’t mean they should chop me up when I need a refreshing splash.

                  • gsdfgdgf says:

“I was once small enough to swim in a 5-gallon bucket. Doesn’t mean they should chop me up when I need a refreshing splash.”

i lol’d so hard at that, i still dont know why but its hilarious.

                • remolay says:

alright, looking at the lyrics sheet, I was wrong.
he did do some in this one.

                  Sorry for wasting time.

can you believe that for so long I thought that I’m in Love With My Car was sang by Brian May, boy am I glad my dad owns the cd

        • QueenGraphAdorer says:

while I have no desire to join the singer discussion – it is excellent that you got the meaning of the Y axis, sadly missing in some.

  4. Shae says:

This may be the greatest graph to have ever graced graphjam. EVER.

  5. fubuki says:

    Mamma mia.

  6. askewcutie says:

    Greatest. Graph. EVER!!!

  7. RS says:

I am overjoyed to see a song chart once again grace GraphJam with its presence, and saddened to find that it is full of fail.

  8. mauhiz says:

The song is great to begin with :)

  9. NaughtyCat says:

    *facepalm*

  10. SODAssault says:

    Great song, abysmal graph.

Remember the good old days when people made an intelligible graph instead of trying to play to fans? Me neither, but at least fucking try.

  11. Becky says:

This graph is indeed quite awesome, the only teeny tiny thing missing is . . . .

    MAMA MIA, MAMA MIA!!

  12. elissa says:

I get that the graph is the song. But its construction makes no sense at all. The video is a complete WIN; Graph=Fail.

  13. barakku says:

Pi chart: Fail/win according to graphjam users:

    FAIL ->( | )<- WIN

  14. afontcu says:

I agree. The best graph ever made in GraphJam. Congrats

  15. Bubba says:

    I have to agree… Finally a song graph.. HOWEVER…
The graph dosn’t really make sense.. PLUS there is a major mistake after the 2nd Bismillah it should be identical to the first Bismillah(sp?)

    Great video,

*ponders* I think i should re-submit my musical graph since it never made it on the front page…

    • Audball says:

*sigh* Not every graph will make it to the front page…don’t clog the system by submitting the same thing over and over again, please.

  16. smyla says:

Anyone notice it’s only Roger Taylor’s part he includes in this? Mamma mia was Freddie’s part wasn’t it?

  17. Lynx says:

HA HA HA HA, but it’s not quite accurate. ‘A’ for effort!

  18. Nulono says:

    Axis fail!

  19. papajon says:

Not bad, not bad at all, but what I really need is somebody tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooooooooove.

  20. ECH says:

    Brava!

  21. PornStoreChick says:

I see what you did there. Very good try :) Good to see someone attempt a proper graphjam.

  22. Dan says:

Anyone who claims the failure of this graph is a failure to Queen, Michael Myers, Dana Carvey, and everything for which they stand.

  23. Harry Miree says:

That’s the best one I’ve seen in a while.

  24. Drew says:

    Hilarious!!!

I think that the graph is awesome in that you can imagine the intensity of each phrase based on how high the graph line goes – sure the axis don’t make sense, but I don’t think that was the graphologists intent.

  25. Strublay says:

    LAWL. That made my morning.

  26. Adeline says:

Now, if someone were trying to make a serious chart, this would fail. However, for comedic purposes, you are full of win, graph-maker.

  27. fagstix says:

i think this is the best graph iv ever seen

  28. David says:

Best graph ever posted on graphjam. Genius!

    • Seddah says:

      You sir, are and idiot.

      • David says:

So no one voted on YOUR graph eh? You are in the minority. Maybe mattykru can draw you up a graph to illustrate how in the minority you are.

        • fagstix says:

          WIN

        • Seddah says:

No, no one voted on the graph I didn’t make. Woe is me. That’s why I think a graph that makes no sense is fail. Because I have no reason to be bitter.

Also, the “are and idiot” bit is a meme from 4chan. Welcome to the internets. Now get off the computer so your mommy can use it.

          • The Mysterious Mr. Rius says:

Having to explain meme from otheer website= FAIL.

Posting FIFTEEN TIMES in judgement of others’ aesthetic reactions = SUPER MEGA FAIL.

            Congratulations, Seddah.

  29. Daina says:

WORST GRAPH EVER! Song on the other hand=awesome

  30. forge says:

Utter win. Well, a valiant attempt at getting the lyrics straight. Still, win.

Also, the better lyric is from “Brighton Rock:”

    Ahhh, Rock of Ages, do not crumble, love is fleeting still;
Ohhh, Lady Moon shine down, a little people magic if you will…
(BAR CHORD BAR CHORD BAR CHORD BAR CHORD)

  31. OtherBill says:

song == awesome, but graph == fail

They didn’t even get the lyrics right. No need to elaborate further.

  32. Jake says:

    win win win

  33. Stephen says:

    mattykru are the champions

  34. Seddah says:

What the fuck is the x-axis?

  35. scaramouche says:

At first glance the graph made no sense. Then I thought about it–that Mercury, May, and Taylor contributed tracks–interwoven and overdubbed–and that Taylor sang the high parts. The higher the singing, the higher the graph, the higher the probability that Taylor’s voice is the most dominant.
    Very well done!

  36. nez says:

    OH MAMA MIA MAMA MIA

  37. rawrlicious says:

This made my day. I’m no graph aficionado but I love it!

  38. DiabloNeonX says:

Some of you are taking this way too seriously.

This graph was funny. Probably one of the funniest ones I’ve seen in awhile. The fact that it’s Bohemian Rhapsody makes it just that much better.

This graph, despite it’s flaws, is an epic win.

  39. neurotype says:

haha, awesome. and I thought graphs weren’t cool anymore.

  40. Kyle Cease says:

    Lmao! Now THAT’S just clever!

  41. lindsay says:

This is the greatest ever!!!! I laughed my butt off!!!! Thank you for putting a great end on my great day.

  42. Jalle says:

    Best. Graph. Ever.
    …and to all those opposed… Heh, well… ;)

    • Princessluvie says:

Woot! GNR reference in a Queen post. Priceless.

Oh, the graph made me giggle. :)

/Get in the ring… get in the ring…

  43. //JR says:

Only here will someone create an obscenely clever graph and people bitch about the little things….

  44. bronnie says:

    Mama just killed a man….

    ;)

  45. lololollllllllololololoolloolollol says:

    Classic. Awesome. Win.

  46. Haxor says:

omfg, i am in friggen love with you man

  47. Dover says:

This graph is a great idea. Now wait for Seddah to start spewing in 3,2,1…..

  48. Josie says:

    Epic WIN. Queen rock.

  49. Sam B. says:

    amazing

  50. Seddah Sucks Sweaty Hairy Balls says:

    it’s all in the name.

  51. JM says:

Great song. Completely lame graph. The graph says nothing new. It just regurgitates the song. If I want the song, I’ll actually listen to it.

  52. you says:

why would anyone scare a moose?

  53. Femanon says:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to congratulate you on the creation of this epic win.
    You win +1 internets.

    Yours, Anon

  54. Chucklyn says:

Funny that so many people are arguing about whether this graph is WIN or FAIL. It’s obviously a matter of opinion, so who cares?

You either think this is awesome or that it sucks. Good for you either way. Personally, I think the concept is effing hilarious and I could care less about whether the graph itself actually makes some semblence of sense.

  55. Lancer says:

I find this is a great graph, but the only thing is that it’s kinda messed up… He should have spent a bit more time making sure he was doing it right. Like I said this is still a great graph, the idea is flawless but the execution is lower.

  56. Lancer says:

Oh and as to everyone bashing this… back when graphjam was just starting this is the only type of graphs they had, song based ones.

  57. MissMissy says:

    … Epic Win.

  58. bill says:

three words son. best. graph. ever.

  59. Megan says:

    …MARRY ME.

  60. Ande says:

very fun idea – love the song, have since it came out. Considering all the ridiculous things people make these graphs about, I think yours is great and well done. So you have no labels on one of your axes – fine, you’d fail a math assignment, but you got this old lady to laugh!

  61. I’ve seen the best graph that could possibly ever be made. I can stop looking at this site now that

  62. Alley says:

It won because it mentioned Roger Taylor.

  63. Ellie says:

    HOORAY FOR QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

  64. ceallaig says:

    Bravo, very clever indeed!

  65. J-ron says:

    I cried. Literally.

  66. Galaxies says:

    Bohemian Rhapsody. YAY!

  67. haRHARHAR says:

this is the best graph I’ve seen so far…
    EVER!!!

  68. KingMercury531 says:

Epic Win, as a reward I shall let you go

  69. optimuscrime says:

You are all arguing over a graph, that’s a big FAIL!!!!
