  1. deathbal101 says:

im first because im using chrome. and yeah, IE sucks. but so does mozilla.

  2. Matrix says:

    Talk about deja vu.

    Also, first?

  3. billboy says:

Amazing. Aside from the opera usage, this is a perfect graph of my use of ie. I just reformatted and used it to install mozilla yesterday, but haven’t used it since.

  4. numanuma56 says:

They forgot, ‘all the school has is sucky IE’.

  5. Emily says:

Ah, so that’s why I have IE on my computer.
    Good to know.

  6. WallofIllusion says:

You forgot, “Because crucial sites for tuition payments, etc., only work on IE.” I hate my college website. :/

  7. flamesbladeflcl says:

Also IE as your browser of choice XD I like my heavily modded IE. and it will kick and Firefox’s or Chrome’s Ass

    • Daemon says:

Yeah right I’m sure your heavily modded IE will kick there asses with its ‘epic’ toolbars and ‘amazing’ loading speed of never, face it no matter how much you mod it or even re-program it from scratch (i know i am an excellent programmer and i have tried) chrome and safari will kick its ass

      • flamesbladeflcl says:

Actually with Precacheing, User Scripts, Mouse Gestures, AD Blockers, Etc. It works better.

        • Daemon says:

Still loading this page at about… no still loading… still… yeah still loading… nope just crashed… yeah… IE rules doesn’t it

      • Schooly says:

        Mozilla kicks your face’s ass.

      • ChuckNorris says:

Yes, Prove your incompetence, Tell us more about how IE rules. Afterall, Its Not like everyone on this page hasn’t experienced IE first hand and used Firefox, Chrome, or Opera to get away from IE, So tell us more.. We have no idea how much IE rules. With its super fast phishing filter, Its numerously available exploits and lack of simplicity for transferring anything beyond favorites to another pc.

      • dr-spangle says:

You’d have a damn hard time recoding closed source software, same with safari unless you built it up from webkit

    • Captain Obvious says:

Hmm. that’s interesting that you had to “heavily mod” IE to make it just slightly better than my FireFox. What’s even more interesting is that I only now have to slightly mod my FireFox to make it better than your heavily modded IE.
You’re not making a strong case for IE. In fact, you’re hurting your case more than anything.
Oh, and you sound like a total ass saying you “heavily modded” anything. Either nobody will believe you, or they’ll think you spend all your time in your parent’s basement modding programs that suck balls to begin with.

  8. RankMyTyping says:

Does anyone actually use Opera? What region is that most popular in?

  9. Phil says:

Loves me some Opera. Best browser ever.

  10. Sud_Vicious says:

Has anyone sent this to MSFT?

  11. roseman says:

You forgot part of the pie-chart:

17% = for getting infected with the latest virus/keylogger.

    • Faetal says:

that was implied under “testing new spyware/ antivirus software”

      Wear a jimmy son.

      • roseman says:

it SHOULD instead say: “testing new spyware/ virus software”.

        • Poon says:

By saying ‘testing new spyware/antivirus software’ it means that you will test out your ANTI-virus software for removing the virus you got with IE.

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

  12. Sir VG says:

To anybody that plans on using Windows 7 – Internet Explorer can be completely disabled come that version. This is to ward off potential Euro Union attacks.

And short of 3 websites that require the use of IE and forbid most other browsers, Mozilla Firefox is for me.

  13. yapeworm says:

WTF? Firefox is the best browser ever! chrome sucks and IE even more…

    • yapeworms-client says:

That’s what it says, you oaf…

Besides that: If they are gonna disable IE, will there be an installer for Firefox/Opera/Other browser delivered? Else you still have to use IE to download Firefox.

      • yapeworm says:

I know, but it was a reply to the chrome lovers above… you citrusvrucht

        • yapeworms-client says:

Then post it as a reply to all chrome lovers, you HAMSTER. But I do agree, chrome sucks. Only for Vista/XP, just lazy…

          • yapeworm says:

you cannot reply to 2 or more posts, you AUGURK. Chrome is not just bad because of the OS compatibility, but you can’t add any addons and you loose
your privacy, because google is always following you…

            • yapeworms-client says:

Funny that one of the features shown on their Chrome-Page is privacy, that from THE company that knows nothing about privacy. Big Brother Google is watching you!

              • Daemon says:

Do you really need privacy from google to use google to search for porn… you kinda didn’t think this one through did you…

  14. Joey says:

    Chrome is the best =D

  15. Nuclear Chauffeur says:

    Chrome + Safari! WebKit FTW!

    /fanboy orgasm

  16. Chris says:

    You left out Windows Update…
For those of us who refuse to use Vista, at least.

  17. Nattgew says:

How about finding out that the code you worked hard on and that looks great in Firefox looks like crap in IE?

  18. RiderLeangle says:

Blue and Red are mixed up.

  19. PornStoreChick says:

Yeah.. I stopped using IE when I couldn’t browse the internet for more than 20 minutes without it crashing.

I like FireFox, personally. I can’t play Pogo games on Opera. I haven’t tried Chrome.

  20. ethana2 says:

    Hey, what about Safari 4?

As for me, my Dell came with Firefox; IE has never touched it, never will.

  21. VMP says:

    you forgot pr0n

  22. Dfrtbx says:

    http://store.mozilla.org/product.php?code=14%2013001&catid=9

i have that shirt. my friends don’t understand why.

  23. xploren says:

Try Google Chrome. Beats all other browsers down to the ground.

  24. Spectre514 says:

IE can also be used for music, if youre at school/work and you cant download flash onto the computer. (usually the default ie has basic flash)

  25. Geminate says:

I use IE when I need the highest security, and that’s all.

  26. Crechum says:

    So true

  27. Kieran says:

I like both IE and Firefox, its just that the font in Firefox seems weaker or thinner than it does in IE. Which is why I use IE most likely lol
The internet is safe if you go on the right websites

  28. hai says:

    So true

  29. kittehkat says:

IE sucks. Firefox sucks. Safari is the best. It’s also currently the fastest internet browser out there at 42 times faster than IE and 3.5 times faster than Firefox. (And don’t even complain that you can’t have it because you have a PC because I HAVE ONE, TOO. You can download it at the Apple website.) And, okay, I’ll admit, it’s not perfect–they’ve currently still got some bugs to work out, but it’s still awesome.

    • Daemon says:

I use safari on my PC and i find it good, the only problems i have is with random loss of connection and that happens only on rare occasions.

  30. ROWYCO says:

    Level of awesomeness:

    1. Firefox
    2. Chrome
    3. Safari
    4. Opera
    5. Flock
    6. Netscape
    7. AOL Explorer
    8. Konqueror
    9. Lynx
    10. Maxthon
    11. Internet Explorer 7
    12. Internet Explorer 8
    13. Internet Explorer 6

  31. Giji says:

Uhm.. Because it’s the best? It offers you total protection, is intalled since the start and all of the sites work on IE

  32. cameo says:

seriously people, do we want our calendars, pictures, maps, all our emails, our web browsing data, our spreadsheets, our docs, and everything to live on google’s servers as their property? that sounds like one of the scariest things possible for humanity right now. there is a lot of power (and market value) in that data and we give it to them freely. remember they helped the chinese government torture pro-democracy advocates in order to stay the #1 search engine in china. please don’t use chrome. some things are more important than a .0001% faster loading webpage.

    • Fernando P Silveira says:

First relevant comment to this post…

    • dr-spangle says:

      WTF?
I’m pretty sure google aren’t involved in international torture, they might have given china a form of google where you can’t get sites that china disapproves of but they’re a company, and you’ll find that most companies would tailor their products to the audience if that audience had a billion members :P

Also, having all your data held by google is no way the scariest thing for humanity, global thermonuclear war (a strange game, the only way to win is not to play), the collapse of the economy, the growing superpowers in the east who will want some status that USA is trying to hog, global warming, the development of uncurable toxins, the evolution of bird flu, the threat of a new dark age as UN bans criticism of religion et cetera et cetera are far larger threats to humanity than a multinational corporation being able to see where you’re going for lunch next friday :P

I’m not even certain that google are the number one search engine in China, I thought Baidu was? *checks* yeah, Baidu is the leading search engine in China.

  33. H4X0R says:

step by step guide for using teh internets
    1) cut a hole in a box
    2)download chrome
    3) uninstall all other internet programs
    4) :D

  34. WOOT! says:

    Ha! Awesome! Best graph here.

  35. Karen says:

The only reason I use IE is to watch Netflix online and when some website says you can only do certain things (like apply for jobs) using IE. Otherwise it’s Firefox. I tried Chrome and wasn’t impressed. It kept locking up. Maybe if I ever increase my memory I’ll try again.

  36. Only Web designers should be allowed to comment on browsers.

IE is the worst, and has been the worst for a decade, and will always be the worst. And you can’t install multiple versions of IE on your machine without excessive hassle, so if you’re a web designer you can’t test your designs in older versions of IE.

Not that I care – if someone is using IE6 I don’t want their business.

Safari renders my own site better than anything else, but most of the time it’s also horrifically slow compared to FF.

Chrome – sorry. It’s cute, but doesn’t seem to have any particular options or add-ons. It seems that all you can do in Chrome is render pages. No thanks.

Opera works pretty fast for me, but there’s awful aliasing with PNGs. And you get runaway tabs if you try to open an image by itself.

    • Daemon says:

I agree with some of what you say except safari runs ten time faster than FF for me (it’s probably running slow cause a new version is out, you gotta update it manually and they don’t tell you when there’s a new version) and Opera runs slower than a snail with its only foot cut off, running up hill, on a hill of sandpaper and spikes.

  37. that guy says:

you forgot porn, everyone knows the internet is for porn!!!!

  38. Jason says:

Chrome is for internet newbies who don’t need plugins

  39. pnatalia says:

I prefer using Firefox more than Chrome. Opera is good, but Chrome does freeze a lot >.<

  40. Nikky says:

I hate Mozilla it ruined my laptop with lots of spam and I obtained a virus through Mozilla. I only use Internet Explorer.

  41. SAmeh says:

LOL this is so true am using mozilla… i only opened IE to download it xD

  42. Owen says:

You forgot one: Screaming at it because for some reason the code you wrote, that works perfectly in firefox, opera, safari, and chrome, somehow breaks in IE.
    Damn Microsoft bastards.

  43. browser-guru says:

You can’t compare IE to FF as FF is a browser.

  44. lunchroomobservations says:

    WIN!

  45. John says:

    Just listen to this:
    MOZILLA FAILS!
Why it is fast is because it loads half the page!!!!!
Firefox has no support for all the BASIC webpage stuff.
And if you think that that stuff is useless, you can disable it in IE anyway.
So basically, FF gives you the support of a 1995 browser, and it can’t do anything useful.

  46. hahahahahahah says:

Mozilla Firefox FTW! Chrome is okay, but I still prefer Firefox.

  47. charmedguy18 says:

Chrome is now failed. Why do you ask? Oh I’ll tell you why.
FIREFOX three point five… duh duh dunnnnn!

  48. >:( says:

well isnt that just cupcakes n cookies

  49. QWERTYCommander says:

    You forgot “Download Chrome”
