Ok? Not much of a punchline here.
well the line about Hobos made me want to punch the graph maker, but I’m not sure that counts.
I concur. I also felt very punchy. I also concur that you, Aikidude, sort of win for this comment, and I am unanimous in that.
Hobos? Seriously?
The red section should be “people who buy beer with food stamps”
Food stamps are generally kept on a debit card, which you may not purchase beer on.
Except when they can get cash back (which they can) and use the cash to buy the beer.
horrible
What about the gift section?
The punch line should have said:
People try to win with the LOST numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42
Hey it worked for Hurley.
Hobos! Hilarious! Not.
Hey man, hobos are making a comeback.
Actually, people on welfare are some of the few people who *should* buy lottery tickets and other normally bad “investments.” Many government assistance programs have eligibility requirements such that saving up a bit of money will cause one to lose their benefits. If they win the jackpot, they won’t need welfare anymore. They just need to be sure to reinvest the small prizes in more tickets before the government realizes they have money. It’s the same logic that creates people who can afford to rent a TV for $30/wk and still keep their kids on medicaid, but if they saved $30/wk planning to pay cash for a TV in a few months, their plan would fail when the government noticed the bank account and told them they could afford to buy their own health coverage.
If you know people like these, don’t accuse them of being foolish with money. Accuse the government of creating a system that rewards big success, penalizes small success, and subsidizes failure.
Polish a turd… it’s still a turd.
Terrible, just terrible
Get a job doing what? And getting paid what, peanuts? Considering how the beloved “free market” has performed, betting on lottery payouts is hardly anymore a long shot bet than sucker working stiffs dishing out money to underwhelming 401(k) accounts.
Spare me the righteous indignation. Go vote for McCain again, see how that works out for ya.
Wow… GraphJam thought this one was worthwhile…. just wow……
Lol, major fail Ron
For major flaming xD
Haha, crappy graph Ron
I have a job, I help people to get going on welfare and get a job, I would just like to give you KABOOM a personal ****you. They are called homeless now, not hobos, you assrat.
According to the pie chart, hoboes don’t believe they can win the lottery.
i noticed that too
or 18 year old who want to do it just because they turned 18? haha i did it today and won 9 buck… downside is now im addicted to gambling
Clearly, you don’t work anywhere with an actual lottery machine. It’s all gambling addicts and poor people. And MOST people believe they can win. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hobo waste money on lottery as opposed to food or even booze/drugs.
GAH I didn’t see this post when I made the post after yours! My bad…
Hobos have things that they would rather buy other than lottery tickets…like booze, or drugs, or food.
Graph is not that great.
