  1. Milkshake says:

    Wow.

  2. PornStoreChick says:

I dunno about Math’s test.. I don’t think I took his class. Where did he lecture??

Failed to make correct pie chart, how true. :P

  3. Jordan says:

Make another one about why you failed that englishs test.

    • KaBooM says:

      lmao! :)

    • papajon says:

Or maybe since the name is “rafael78″ this was for art class? Sorry.. “Arts” class? Though… I’ll skip the video of the ’sleeping with the teacher’s wife’.

    • Persona says:

Knowledge of the rest of the world fail.

      • The Wiz says:

Honestly though, if you insist on putting an ’s’ on the end, call the subject by its full name.

        • PiMan says:

Why? ‘Maths’ works fine for me and a few hundred million other people.

          • The Wiz says:

I am absolutely speaking with the bias of someone from the states here, but unless that imaginary test was on Algebra AND Geometry, or likewise two other sub-categories of mathematics, the term “maths” both looks and sounds ridiculous

            • MLD says:

and perhaps Math looks and sounds ridiculous to those who call it Maths natively? Get over the fact that we in the US are NOT the standard for defining what IS and SHOULD be for the whole world

              • The Wiz says:

Dude, get over YOURSELF. I explicitly stated that I was speaking with bias so spare me the lecture.

Furthermore, what you said only solidifies my earlier point that if this is such a big deal to people (which it obviously is to you, hence your stalwart stance on the influence the United States has worldwide), we should just use the proper name for the subject: Mathematics.

                • tyler says:

uhmmmm….. question…. i’m american too, i use math, but i wish i said maths- Mathematics = plural :P so maths makes more sense to me

            • Beth says:

Even if the imaginary test concerned only one particular mathematics topic it could still be called a maths test, the same way a test on World War II could still be called a history test. And the language you’re using is called English, not American, so it seems silly to be referring to an abbreviation that the rest of the English-speaking world uses as “ridiculous”.

  4. Stoneangel says:

    I want my 2%

  5. Crok says:

lol, that 75% is waaay off xD
math fail, but maybe hidden humor ? :D

  6. Beldar the Phantom Replier says:

Wait, sleeping with the teacher’s wife leads to fail?

    Are you doin’ it wrong?

    • Zog says:

I think it’s hilarious that this if the cause of failure 5% of the time…. like it’s happened so often that it’s actually a noticeable fraction of the overall fails :)

  7. d says:

“Math is used colloquially in English-speaking North America as a shortened form of the word mathematics, in the same way as “maths” is used in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.”

    lol, americans.

  8. Kurt says:

    It’s meta-tastic.

    And I don’t mean “cancerous”.

  9. tudza says:

Strange, I am from the United States of America and I was going to say “Ungawa bwana!!”

  10. Unbeliever says:

there’s an epic failure in this chart it’s not dyslexia that’s the problem discalculia is

  11. Obams says:

    maths?
    FAIL!

  12. dna_level_c says:

    I love a good metajoke
    Well done!.

    • Paul says:

I suspect it emerged from his subconscious – or perhaps from his simple inability in general. But yeah, the “meta” aspect is pretty entertaining.

  13. cr33pingparanoia says:

Yeah, I know it’s a legitimate abbreviation outside North America and there’s nothing that makes “math” more legitimate, but the word “maths” just looks and sounds stupid to me.

    • Mazz says:

And ‘math’ looks and sounds stupid to me, so we’re even.

    • tyler says:

i’m from north america too, but i wish i said maths- i mean, mathematics is the full term for the subject, and it’s plural, so why shouldn’t it be maths?

  14. Waffletacular Sr. says:

“Maths” could also just be a Look Around You reference.

Of course, it’s far more satisfying to smugly point out how much of an idiot they are for making a joke you failed to understand…

    Educate yourselves!

  15. limey bastard says:

    fcuk the limey bastards

  16. meowcat2 says:

MATH NOT MATHS, MATH IS A PLURAL FORM IN ITSELF!!!

  17. lurker says:

Best graph(s) ever! Humo(u)r both simple and grand.

  18. eterrilsmith says:

This is the funniest graph I have seen on this site because of the inane, ignorant responses to it. I love it when people go bonkers over plural word usage and all of the “idiot”/ idotic name calling. A great graph is measured by the number of offended pseudo intellectuals that freak out on the graph maker and then get freaked out on by the brain wizards. Wonderful!!!

    • Paul says:

      Um, okay.

This would explain why things like “pro wrestling” are able to turn a profit.

      • eterrilsmith says:

Are you kidding me? Roller Derby, hockey in Florida, and Rugby all need their fan base. I’ll have props, wingers, defensemen, and blockers sending hate mail. (sigh)

  19. megs says:

Dummy…… everyone knows that the plural of Math is Mathses

  20. Ayala says:

I don’t care what you call it in the privacy of your own homes. I can handle differences in language. What I don’t like is people calling a perfectly legitimate dialectal difference “stupid” or “ridiculous”. OK? And, BTW, it’s æ•°å¦.

  21. pnogal32 says:

    wouldn’t it be discalculia?

  22. that guy says:

isnt it supposed to be irony, “75% failed to create correct piechart” and mispelled the title?

  23. Cledbo says:

Whilst I am well aware that this dead horse has been beaten into a pulp by previous TPS reports, I still must point out:
If the full form is ‘mathematics’, surely ‘maths’ makes more sense? You never hear someone say “I’m going to learn mathematic.”, do you?

I could also provoke a whole new argument as to why Americans call it ‘trash’ and Brits and Aussies (and other colonials, of course) say ‘rubbish’. Or ‘lift’ and ‘elevator’, ’sidewalk’ and ‘footpath’…
But that would be pugnacious of me, wouldn’t it? :)

    • Erin K. says:

If you really want to stir them up, Cledbo, point out that although Americans call it Math and other nations call it Maths, other nations call it sport, and Americans call it sports. Mind blowing.

Be nice, people. Can’t we all enjoy graphs in peace and harmony?

      I love the graph’s messed-up percentages. Hee.

  24. Val says:

Maths stands for mathematical anti telharsic harfatum septomin

  25. Rob says:

    123% LOL!

  26. Alex says:

    Pie-Graph-Fail Win?

  27. gzusphish says:

Hmmm…I had no idea that the rest of the world calls it maths. Must Google this. GREAT! Thanks rest-of-the-world…because of you I’m doomed to at least three hours of linking thru wikipedia (probably on topics unrelated to math[s]).

Good graph too, btw. Got a chuckle outa the comments as well.

    Also… http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maths

  28. Ned Udomkesmalee says:

the total of the graph comes out to 123%. probably another reason why he failed the math test.

    • tyler says:

it was a deliberate joke by the creator. he failed to create a correct pie chart even when making a pie chart about how he couldn’t MAKE a pie chart. see?

  29. Kira says:

Dyslexia with math is called Dyscalculia. So unless you are referring to trouble with reading word problems, the “Honest Dyslexia” portion of this graph should be “Honest Dyscalculia” :)

  30. Tracy says:

Apparently very few of us here have picked up on the fact that the graph does not add up to 100%, and that the red area quite obviously does not make up 75% of the chart. Clever graph WIN.

  31. Abhishek says:

Hey i have never never failed maths test and even not slept once with my teacher’s wife. How rubbish?

  32. blatant troll says:

Another person who thinks “maths” both looks and sounds ridiculous. Get upset about it. ;)
