Personally my GF uses on that sounds like an old house phone. Mine is that chime-salsa crap the I haven’t figured or cared to replace.

If you haven’t, here’s why: the reprise of that very chorus starts with the “Bad Horse Chorus” as a chirpy ring tone on Dr. H’s phone.

Yeah, it was funny the first time, but she set it as her alarm, so it was also inadvertently MY alarm, and waking up at 7am to the giggles of a strange man-child got old fast.

I used to use “Harvey the Wonder Hamster,” which does qualify as an obscure pop culture reference. Unfortunately, it also falls in the “Songs no one has heard before, but will grow to hate after less than one second of hearing” even for me.

I always thought mine was the only one on whole world that set to rings.

Mine? Always set to vibrate

I’ll admit, my ringtone is probably really obnoxious to most people. Not many people in the US have heard of Within Temptation, so I can guarantee the vast majority of anyone that hears my phone ring will just be thinking, “WTF?”

For calls, I use Holst’s “Mars, Bringer of War”.

Pretending of course I ever set it to something other than Vibrate-only.

Though I have to say, mine does have a “song” when my boyfriend texts me..only because I set him a ringtone but my phone doesn’t have an option to have a special ringtone for calls only.

I also hate when people have inappropriate ringtones and don’t silence their phones, so it goes off at the most inopportune moments.

Like at my sister’s wedding. She’d just come up to the altar, and there was that one brief moment of silence in between the music stopping, and the reverend speaking. someone’s loud ass phone rings, and the ringtone is “Giggidy giggidy giggidy giggigdy let’s have sex!”

I mean…funny as hell now, but inappropriate at the time.

My default ring tone is a Star Trek comunicator beepy noise (from the origianl seriese) no one gets it… some people do when I flip my phone open and answer with “Kirk here!”

My ex’s ring tone is lt. Warf saying “Captian I am detecting an intruder!”

Which should be /sarcasm.
