There’s a graph that is energy vs. temperature. Graphs can be energy vs. pressure too. Are you gonna say those people are wrong? A line graph is simply a comparison, so I could make a graph that compares how long a road trip was against how much gas was used. Yes, a bar graph might work better, but a line graph works just fine. The graph does suck, is hard to read, but it’s funny and no it isn’t wrong. Get your head outta your ass.

Two graphs, now, that should’ve been bar graphs since they otherwise show multiple, wildly divergent y values for each set x value… an explanation which is awkward and a little inccorect, and necessarily so because the graph is so wrong it’s hard to explain :p

It’s not a great interpretation though, since it doesn’t scale well past two labeled points (unless Dr. Phil really is just a 50/50 mix of Violence and Falcon Punch).

Now that I’ve got your attention, this line graph is not time based. Moreover, all of the counter-graphs you posited are all examples that are aptly shown in bar graphs (aka, not a line graph).
