Yeah, there are some times when you could get a boner that would make you look gay and you don’t get one.
Clearly, this graph identifies that spontaneous boners may happen in situations that may have nothing to do with being aroused, therefore situations with a gay connotation are completely excusable for anyone who realizes this, which i think most people do…… however, i’m sure being gay is possibly the most favourite issue for young guys to give each other crap about

For example and a 95 degree day I went with my future wife to visit her grandmother in a nursing home. I sat down in an air conditioned room in a fairly comfortable armchair. I got very relaxed and was just starting to doze off when my wife asked me to run get something out of the car. I started to get up, then realized I couldn’t stand at that particular moment.
It’d be less embarrassing to get a stiffy in a situation that makes you appear to be actually gay than to get one in a situation that makes you appear sexually aroused by geriatric invalids.

And I have an understanding by what he may have ment as “situations that may make you look gay” (and I know my sexuality very well) there are plenty of situations that this can happen (especially to a teenage boy) that this can happen. some times all it takes is moving your leg to a comfortable position on the bus and BOING! its there.
