I can’t be live it?
lawl spelling fail
r
o
f
l
ug, i spellz bad. R, O, F and L aren’t wordz
r, o, f and l arent words, and neither is rofl, it is actually an acronym.
Omg, so we’re all a bunch of nerds. Between the spelling fail & “rofl” thing, ICanHasCheezburger might as well be an English class. LOLcats are more fun than crazed Enlish teachers!
What’s an Enlish teacher?
Probability bar chart total fail
Agreed.
probability understanding fail
there can be a 25% chance it will fail halfway thru, and still be 99% chance it will fail in the “I cant belive it” scene
LOL
But don’t plot twists usually come at the END of the movie? As in:
- “Dude how was the movie?”
-”Omg there was this righteous plot twist at the end that nobody saw coming!”
if there is a 40% chance of tornadoes in the morning, does that mean there can only be a 60% chance of tornadoes in the evening?
or is it possible, at the END of the day, there is an even greater chance, like 85%, of tornadoes? As in:
-”Dude, look out, that tornado is gonna get u!!!”
-”No way man. there was a 100% of tornadoes this morning, so one coming tonight is imposs… AAaRRRGGGHHH [sound of mathematically challenged friend being carried in the distance by an impossible tornado]“
like your dvd will be scratched twice, once in the beginning, and while you keep watching the damaged movie it will get scratched again at the plot twist…
Dave, you just made me lol
Your scenario is epic. I never understood why people couldn’t comprehend bar graphs. They don’t have to add up to 100%!!
Agreed. Is there a name for the “one-joke, something not so bad, something kinda bad, something awful that happened to you” bar chart template? Where’s the clever? Bring on the clever!
Why? The DVD could be jumpy at more than one point…
Graph-maker, you are obviously renting movies from the wrong places.
Made me lol… harder than the graph in fact.
I wish the world would learn how to spell believe. True graph, btw, lol.
That’s what I get for typing it too fast. I know how to spell believe
hey, i did crack on you for the spelling, but lots of lawlz for the concept. XD
That happened during the midnight showing of The Dark Knight this summer. They stopped the movie during the interrogation scene due to a “medical emergency” in another part of the theater.
If anyone remembers the movie “Momento”…the first time I saw it, it was a rented DVD with a scratch on it. At one point in the movie, it would jump back 2 or 3 scenes.
It wasn’t until the 3rd time it jumped that we realized what was going on.
(For those who haven’t seen it…the movie was about a guy who had no short-term memory…that is, after 15 minutes or so he totally forgot what was going on. He kept himself going by tatooing stuff on his body and leaving notes for himself. Also, one of the movie’s storylines occurs in reverse chronological order.)
Correct me if I’m wrong, but his memory “reset” every time he went to sleep- not after 15 minutes. And the whole storyline occurs in reverse order- not just one of the storylines. That’s what makes it a great movie.
But I also agree with Dave on the probability. I was going to use the game show theory from the movie “21″, but the tornado example was clever.
Memento SPOILER below
His memory reset every time he got distracted (such as the scene where the female character pisses him off, he hits her, she leaves and comes back within like ten minutes interrupting his search for a pen so he can leave himself a note, and tells him someone else did it.)
And a 100% chance of complete unwatchability if you get your DVDs from the library. -_-
Tried 3 times to get Get Smart from the Redbox…
Annoying
This just happened to me.
Im on here, because the dvd stopped, halfway into the movie.
