If it weren’t for that rule, I would just say, “Hell no, bitch.” However, that doesn’t work… Plus, every damn time I get gum, it ends up being the bad kind…

Giving SOMEONE a piece of gum=okay, no problem.
Giving EVERYONE a piece of gum (since EVERYONE will ask)=not okay, big problem.

Especially since most packs of gum only contain 15 pieces, and even supposing it’s a brand new pack, if you’re in school, that’s only half the class. Plus, haha, you just wasted $2-3 on a pack of gum of which you got ONE piece. And if you say no, you’re labeled a gum-hater and you may never ask anyone else for a piece of gum.

This is so terribly true, even out of high school. I don’t know what it is about gum but once you bring out a piece or are chewing one everyone wants a piece. It’s not like gum is expensive or anything either. They could just buy some for themselves.

god… this always happens to me. im at a place with lots of kids and I get out 1 f***ing peice of gum!!! and 1 person sees me and asks me for some loud enough that people on the other side of the building can hear and everyone asks. I know!!! ME TOO!
