Dyslexics don’t necessarily read words backwards. They are often rearranged or missing letters completely. Also, this idea is not stupid on a porpoise, it’s stupid on purpose. You are obviously stupid on accident though.

This graph was funny, but being a dyslexic myself I dont think you would get ’santa’ and ’satan’ confused. At least for me, I just mix up the first parts of words. like “Yew Nork” and “run roader”

Dyslexia fail – dyslexia is a blanket term for several disorders which impede the ability to read and write. It does not mean jumbling up letters randomly. A dyslectic person is more like to spell dyslexia as “dislecsha” than “lysdexia” or “dexlesia” or whathaveyou. Likewise, a dyslectic reading the word “dyslexia” for the first time might read “D… Y…. S… L… E… X… I… A… Di… Dis… Disss… Leh… Dysleks… Dysleks… ya?”, not “Lys-dek-sha”.

You want to cry about hurting someone’s sensibilities? You might also try being less ignorant about religious beliefs and non-religious non-beliefs that aren’t your own.

For a dyslexic it may have been ‘gob’ or ‘2anta’ … the reversal of characters not the reversal of words. ‘Dog’ as a reversal of ‘god’ is a satanic / atheistic / amoral throw back to the ’60’s in a effort to hurt someone’s sensibilities.

Sad on two levels … religious intolerance and redicule of a real disability that is very difficult to overcome.

The graph was/is humor poorly done. IMHO.

Fail — Actually satan backwards would not be atnas, it would be natas. But dyslexia is not spelling something backwards, it is mixing up letters. That makes the Santa temptation that much more funny.

I reject this diagram.

Being dyslexic myself, I can confirm, that dyslexia is not just being awkward or backwards and mispelling words for others amusement. True dyslexics think in pictures. This means that when I think of a dog, I do not see the word DOG I see a picture of a dog.

This affects learning when a word has no picture associated with it. I find myself fitting images to words to help me use them better.

Dyslexics UNITE! Reject this graph in all it’s wrongness.
