  1. Slashydutchie says:

Isn’t this just about every spamguard ever invented?

    • NH says:

Most of them at least. Especially Outlook seems to suffer from this too.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a bit smarter since it has the ability to learn over time and you can spank it if you think it does wrong!

  2. pauldacheez says:

And that is why people use Gmail.

  3. DT says:

Actually, the filter my ISP uses seems pretty good.

  4. eric says:

Actually, i find the Yahoo spam filter about 90% effective. I have an old account that gets lots of spam also. It is a paid account though, maybe paid accounts get a better filter.

  5. Person 2 says:

For me, the important mail would have to be about 90% of the pie.

  6. Milo says:

I was actually pretty pleased with Yahoo’s spam guard because at first it didn’t count anything as spam unless you marked it first. But then it changed I guess and started blocking some alerts.. now I have it unblocked and it’s kind of annoying. But I don’t want to go through the hassle of trying to change all of my accounts to another email address.

  7. Skyfire says:

And that’s why I use Mozilla Thunderbird.

  8. ethana2 says:

Wow, I had no idea any service out there sucked that bad.

Switch to Gmail, I don’t want to hear about your problems using inferior services or products on graphjam. Not Windows, not yahoo mail, not AOL. Switch now.

    • Robert says:

I considered switching to Gmail for a few days, but since all my accounts are linked to my Y!Mail, I decided to stick with Yahoo. It not like more than half of my e-mails are spam anyway.

  9. excentricat says:

Yahoo SpamGuard works rather well. If you want a really sucky one, try hotmail. All my real mail went to spam and all my spam went to my inbox.

    • teh penguin says:

Same with me, I got spam on sign-up.

Yahoo spam filter works for the most part but Google’s filter blocks alot of automated emails.

  10. adminoflife says:

i have never had a problem with yahoo antispam

  11. dropaline says:

Amusingly, the RSS feed for this was filtered to my spam basket…

  12. Floatout2sea says:

One of the most accurate yet! ;-)

  13. kev says:

I don’t really have problems with Yahoo Mail myself. Rarely find a bonafide email sent there.

  14. Dolt says:

i taught my spam filter to block e-mails from my e-mail provider

  15. kay says:

I love the allusion that this guy’s friends do not send him important or humorous mail.
