I honestly don’t care if you’re blind. People pull in front of me all the time if I don’t have my lights on because my car is apparently invisible. At least if you’re pissed at me because my lights are on (and I doubt you’re truly blinded by them), I know you see me. And yeah, I am that woman who drives 80 in the left lane and honks at you if you’re driving slow in front of me! Grow up people, and stop whining about things that keep people safe!

Pretty much as the graph above, but heavier on the stupidity. I suppose to be a bit fair (why should I?) that the design is worse. These really should drop out when the lights and/or engine get turned off.

Thank you for enlightening me. There are a few regions here in the states where such a thing would be fairly useful. The fog can get pretty bad along the Gulf Coast where I live, and I understand the middle and southern Appalachain Mountains can get some pretty soupy fog as well. But I just know that if rear fog lamps were introduced here, most people would find a way to use them in an asinine way.

This one’s stupid. As a lot of people are pointing out, the fog lights on some vehicles stay on all the time. The fog lights on my car stay on if I’m using the automatic headlight feature.

ALL UK cars have rear fog light; a much more important lamp than front fogs. And yes, I would reserve a special circle of Hell for morons that don’t turn these off too! (And idiots that don’t repair failed lights, especially headlights.)

It’s a safety feature that protects me from goons who don’t turn their lights on in low light conditions. It’s quite a lot more annoying when you can’t see people coming right at you (and they likely can’t see you) in twilight, on cloudy days, etc.

Brilliantly here in the UK it’s illegal to use your foglights when visibility is over 100m. It’s extremely satisfying when you see some asbo chav hoodie twat in a Vauxhall Nova getting a £60 ($100) fine because he thought they looked cool

Over this side of the Atlantic, it’s only Volvos and Saabs, and these only have side lights on. Typically, the English driver needs FOG lights on a few occasions a year. I accept that there are colder, damper parts of the country than I live in.

However, there are idiots driving around all tear with the damned things on. Why oh why don’t the manufacturers design this out? All you need is ONE relay, at a cost of a few pence, cents or yen.
