I have every respect for men and women of any nationality who believe enough in their country to lay down their lives, but respecting their sacrifice and accepting all the bullshit your government feeds you to justify their deaths are two HUGELY different things.

Don’t be a gullible fool. Why don’t you do some research of your own instead of just taking it all in without question?

Our Soldiers and Marines are all over areas of the Middle East working to stop terrorists whose main goal is to essentially destroy anything and anyone having to do with the United States. Since these extremists exist as a threat to our safety, and our Soldiers/Marines are sent to stop them from causing more harm, I’d say they are protecting and providing our safety.
With all due respect, what on earth do you think they are doing? If you know something that I don’t, please, enlighten me. If our servicemen/women are not protecting us and there is no threat to our safety then I’m sure the parents and wife of a Marine I knew would love to know the real reason their son/husband was killed by a (terrorist planted) IED in Iraq. And I would love to know the real reason why my husband is in a combat zone and puts his life on the line on a daily basis if it is not to keep this country and everyone in it safe.

I think I’ll take a wack at trying to explain this for people who clearly don’t understand how a Venn diagram works.

Venn diagrams show where two subjects have overlapping aspects. They don’t have to have anything in common, at all, except that one tiny part.

It’s calling McCain old. It’s play on two separate meanings of the word “ran”. The dinosaurs “ran” alongside McCain like a dog might run alongside a boy. Palin “ran” alongside him in the sense of an election.

Venn win. For all you doubters, it’s you who should learn how a Venn works.

And, no, the diagram is fine. There is a group that is dinosaurs, a “group” that is Sarah Palin, and the similarity is that they both ran alongside John McCain.

It’s not the politics that’s controversial here, it’s the Venn diagram.

The diagram suggests that there are some who are Sarah Palin and that there are some who are dinosaurs. There are some dinosaurs who are also Sarah Palin, and it is those dinosaurs who are running (or who have run) alongside John McCain.

The irony is that Sarah Palin doesn’t believe in dinosaurs…
