how about: i have outsourced cleaning the flat (professional cleaners) and do the rest myself. i like to cook and am pretty good at it. i like to eat home-cooked meals from girlfriends. i’ll hit the hay daily AND i’ll go down south.

Conversation at my house:
Me: “Are you hungry?”
Him: “A little, yeah…”
Me: “So if I cook, you’ll eat?”
Him: “Yeah…”
*I spend an hour prepping, cooking, making sure that food is perfect, as long as it’s served hot and fresh…*
Me: “Food’s ready!”
Him: “I’m not ready to eat right now, just leave it over there.”
*I try not to strangle him in front of our 13 year old son. Half an hour passes*
Him (as he finally takes his first bite): “This isn’t very crispy/tasty/is too chewy/doesn’t taste right… I’ll just slather it with A1. It’ll be fine.”

It’s not such a big deal, woman today not knowing how to cook as much as women of yesterday did. We now work (in the workplace, earning pay) just as much and as hard as men do and they haven’t known how to cook for years while we stayed home and took care of the kids, house and meals! All the men that complain women can’t cook can stuff it! It’s about time that changed and more of you learn how to cook. Why do you feel that it’s up to the woman?
And no, I can’t cook. My boyfriend does all the cooking. I’m the one who cleans the house. We share – works out perfectly.

I must be one of the lucky ones. My wife is a cooking fiend. We grow all our own herbs(no not that kind). She loves to bake too. Nothing better than homemade chicken soup and made from scratch biscuits. Damnit, now I’m hungry. Think I’ll have tacos, cuz tacos are made of awesome.

well you’re all being rather rude… hell, I HAVE cooked atleast a 3 course meal for my boyfriend and HE ATE ALL OF IT! …… maybe it has something to do with my grandmere teaching me how to cook ( grandmere wanted to become a chef before she came to america…. she’s from Vienna, Austria). Oh well…. maybe most girls are too lazy… or just don’t give a damn about cooking. I personally, prefer home made stuff to fast food.

If you’re a bad cook, that may actually be WHY you’re single. Girls like to know that their man can cook ONE MEAL. Seriously. That’s all we ask.

Personally, my boyfriend is the cook. It’s not that I can’t, I just don’t particularly like to cook and he loves it. I love baking, something he hates. So we have a deal… he makes the meals (usually… I do still cook) and I bake the goodies (cookies, cakes, souffles, etc. Yum!). Match made in heaven.

This thread has to be one of the best ones I ran across today. Kudos to the ladies that can throwdown in the kitchen like Bobbie Flay, to those that cannot, keep trying. Although, I tend to agree with the guys that there seems to be a shortage of women with culinary skills under the age of 40 to 45 anymore. Personally, I practically live in an apron and love it!!!

Poor White person food is my favorite.

List of my favorite white-person-foods:
Hamburger Helper – Double Cheese Macaroni (w/ Frank’s Red Hot)
Spagetti – Sauce optional
Rice – Pretty much any kind, with any meat, if available
Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup – Classic meal

Unfortunately, my GF lives 4 hours away, and we only get together on weekends. I need more good home-cooked 5-course white person meals.

Let me say first that I am a wife of 15 years. My husband is always hungry. It doesn’t matter if he just ate a box of cookies when I cook he eats and always complements me on the dinner. I have to say I got a good one when I found my Tom! I think this person just got a dud and it might be time to rethink this relationship especially if this is worth nit picking.

where I work we have the option of a lone star steak house, hooters, tacobell, kfc, wendys, or waffle house. KFC just happened to be making biscuits at the time and I was instantly hungry again. Yesterday I went to kfc and got a 3 piece leg and thigh meal and then came home and ate an entire pizza 4 hrs later. If I had a GF to cook for me it would disappear faster trust me.
