Very clever! I think this could apply to any site that uses a rating system, such as E-bay.
I haven’t looked at this graph personally, but I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a hilariously funny graph.
I WISH they made graphs like this when I was interested in humorous graphs.
Don’t forget the ones where they give it 2 or 3 stars but then write something like “Wow, this product totally exceeds all my expectations. It’s awesome!”

I’ve seen an early preview of this graph and I think it’s going to be amazing…
(I actually asked Amazon why they allow people to review things that haven’t been released yet…they’re response was business waffle that basically meant “we can’t be bothered to control it and it helps our sales”)

It’s only logical that the majority of Amazon reviews are either hyperbolic & positive or hyperbolic & negative. It’s only when someone really loves or really hates something that they actually care enough to bother writing one. Why would an indifferent person waste valuable time writing an “eh, it was okay,” review?
It’s great – it just lacks the 10% “It’s not yet out, but since the last one/a completly diffrent item was great/sucked this is going to be great/going to suck”.
Is the opposite of hyperbole – hypobole?
