  1. rehbeinator says:

In what type of units is “Contribution to Succes” measured?

  2. omgitsomeguy says:

Very true. And it doesn’t matter the units, they’re only successful because they’re with Disney.

    • Karen says:

They’re current??? OMG – I thought the pictures on the new blog site were from the Duran Duran era! Guess this is what I get for not living near my 9-year-old niece.

    • superschmoe says:

No, they’re only successful because hordes of deluded 8-12 year old girls think that they’re cute.

  3. Mallory says:

Well, if you put talent, it’d be negitive.

  4. Maderman says:

Oh my lord. I’d never seen pics/vids of them before. Is it my imagination or are we re-living the eighties here?

  5. Anonymous says:

This is the best you’ve got? Seriously? These guys make the Backstreet Boys look like the Beatles (and I HATE the Backstreet Boys).

    • emb says:

      I second that

    • Maddy says:

Yeah, and using the Backstreet Boys and the Beatles in the same sentence is like walking up to Paul McCartney and slapping him in the face.

Using the JONAS BROTHERS and the Beatles in the same sentence is like, I don’t know. Pouring motor oil over John Lennon’s grave?

  6. vervain says:

Never heard of them. Must need more marketing.

  7. MC says:

That’s because you must not be a 12-14 yr old girl that chases them around like they want their cherry popped. Thats why they are with Disney…to attract a certain demographic which is young girls. Their music and their hair sucks!

  8. Sarcastik says:

They forgot “screaming 13 year old fangirls who love generic, meaningless, badly sung pop music.”

  9. beckibee says:

Ok I forgot screaming 13 year old fan girls. As much as I love graphjam it might not hurt to be a little bit current now and then.

  10. !null says:

Wait, you’re saying the hair works IN their favour??

    • beckibee says:

if you were a 12 year old girl you would understand. I am assuming you are not a 12 year old girl. if so, get off the internet and do some times tables or something.

      • emb says:

believe me, there are 12 year old girls who don’t worship the jonas brothers. most of them, in fact. and, believe it or not, 12 year old girls aren’t the only people on the internet. sorry if all this new information scares you.

  11. Meh says:

This is lame. Mostly because it’s not that creative or funny…I mean, I am a fan of theirs but I can take all the criticism. I’m not saying you MUST like their style or music…it’s a matter of opinion, and I think lots of other things suck balls out there so…fair enough!

But, tell the thing about the marketing machine to the dozens of other artists Disney has been promoting who have TANKED with the same PR team…(which is all of them apart from “Hannah Montana”).

And though I find them gorgeous, I don’t think they are LITERALLY the best looking guys around. Not by a long shot. When you’re a good performer, it makes you better-looking.

They sell records because they are actually very good performers, charming as hell, and have been writing & working their asses off almost nonstop for the last 4 years to get where they are…they built a psycho YouTube fanbase in 2006…that’s why Disney bought ‘em, because the rest of their stable blew donkeys and had negligible followings. Disney needed them as much as they needed Disney.

    Just stating the facts.

    • beckibee says:

Woah you are pretty intense for a Jonas Brothers fan! I thought you were all sweetness and light. I kid.

I could point out that the Jonas Brothers first album tanked so bad they got kicked off their label. And then they got svengaliid by a record company into the cutesy shiny product that they are today (I mean have you seen the photos on the sleeve of their second album? It does not get any boy-bandier than that) And that the first song they had that got any attention was a cover of a Busted song, which was put on a huge movie and got lots of promotion. I mean, come on, hands up who has heard of Busted?

But seriously, I actually kind of like the Jonas Brothers. Even though I am way too old to admit that. They seem like sincere hardworking young men who take their responsibilities seriously and can laugh at themselves. I just think the hysteria that surrounds them is a product of marketing more than music.

That is the comment I am intending to make in the graph. Which I think is funny. Well funny enough to make the graph jam page. tee hee.

      • janellle says:

        lulz.
they didn’t get droped from the original label because they were failing.
they SIGNED ON to hollywood because they were getting way too big.

i remember when they made the switch.
most fans were upset; because they were afraid from that point the music would change drastically.
        and it did.

        for better or for worse?
        i can’t really say.
but they really aren’t the same jonas brothers i was an obscure fan of 2 and a half years ago :|

but truly, they are very dedicated young guys, just looking to promote wholesome music for kids. really- what’s so bad about that?
i don’t get why everyone is running around spewing out this crap that “they’re not real music”
at what point does something become music- and who are you of all people to dictate it?

THEY DISGRACE MUSIC ITSELF! I WANT INNOCENT PEOPLE TO NOT BE ALIVE WHEN I HEAR THEM! I WOULD RATHER SHOVE BROKEN GLASS IN MY EYES, AND THEN GO SWIMMING IN A POOL WITH TOO MUCH CHLORINE WITHOUT GOGGLES THEN LISTEN TO THEM! I WANT THEM TO CEASE TO BE. NOT TO SAY THAT I WANT THEM DEAD, THAT WOULD BE CRUEL AND THAT’S NOT HOW I ROLL, BUT I WOULD LIKE THEM TO DISAPPEAR IN A MANNER THAT WOULD MAKE THEIR MATTER NO LONGER EXIST. I WANT TO DEFY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS.

I AM, IN FACT, SHOUTING. THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THE CAPS LOCK.

      HAVE A GOOD DAY.

      • beckibee says:

step away from the computer and take a deep breath – feel better now? ok music itself cannot be disgraced anymore than it already has been, milli vanilli anyone? s club 7? britney spears? jessica simpson? the bay city rollers? crappy teen music has ALWAYS existed and always will exist. its not actually taking anything away from anybody that actually matters.

      • emb says:

I agree. they sound like cats being beaten with cheesegraters over a small amount of instrumental backup.

    • Dark says:

I’m tempted to pull this apart line-by-line. But I’m not going to, because that would be cruel and a waste of my time. You are allowed your opinion, but I really don’t agree and I doubt I could ever bring myself to.
I reckon you’ll probably drop your interest in them in a few years once you find some decent music. At least, I hope so.
To put it all simply, it’s just terrible pop-trash, exactly the same as all the other terrible songs Disney is responsible for. I like it slightly less than I like having heart surgery performed by a deprived addict weilding a chainsaw.

  12. NINJA! says:

can i point out SUCCESS was spelled w/out the second S

Seriously, go watch this if you hate the Jonas Brothers. By the way, i’m 13 and I absolutely hate them. :D But that whore Miley is more of a marketing machine. Honestly, Walmart’s probably going to have Hannah Montana vibrators next…

  14. Teh Man (u kno teh one u stick it to) says:

everyone hating them gives them alot of publicity too…………

  15. jdahms says:

They’re only sucsessful because 10 year old girls don’t know what good music is. I just really hope they know that they have absolutely no talent.
And it’s not like they are just smart enough to exploit 10 year old girls like they do, thats all Disney.

  16. Samantha says:

    I hate disney.
