Has there ever been a better movie that Office Space, I don’t think so.

  4. Gorgonzola says:

A stapler, a stapler, my empire for a stapler!

  5. 216 says:

Love it! I think I’m just going to… go ahead…and uh, laugh!

  6. Aaryck says:

100 stolen staplers in 7 months, huh?

Couldn’t you just invest in some paper clips? They’re reusable and you could avoid felony theft.

  7. Susan says:

Reminds of the time I really did almost quit because my stapler went missing. Major tragedy!!!

  8. InsertNameHere says:

I like the Christmas tree on the chart, that’s the best part.

  9. nick says:

    This graph makes no sense.

One: why would someone’s job satisfaction be so strongly tied to the number of staplers in the office? As soon as 100 staplers have been stolen he quits? (in a month named “quitting” nonetheless).

Two: You can’t measure your job satisfaction by staplers, so the y-axis makes no sense.

Three: Why do staplers stop getting stolen from December 15th through January 15th? Does someone stop stealing staplers when bonuses are distributed (is the market for used staplers a profitable one)?

There is one stapler in office space. The tree is nice though.

    • RA says:

      1) The point is that the less job satisfaction there is, the more one steals from their company.
      2) The amount axis (the y axis) applies to both job satisfaction and staplers stolen. It’s nit measuring job satisfaction in staplers.
      3) Christmas bonus – can you not read?

      You kinda suck…don’t you Nick?

Childhood was not a happy time for you, was it?

I, for one, agree, and am tired, especially, of y-axes measuring multiple things. The non-parallel nomenclature of months. The 100 missing staplers is really why I decided to comment, but then I noticed that a few people already covered that.

  10. Anne says:

I had to buy my own stapler…and trash can. My employer is cheap…

  11. Geet says:

Christmas Bonus?! What is that? Sounds like something really nice. Staplers? Hell, I have to bring my own pens to work. And I work for a multimillion dollar direct mail company, which is currently for sale, BTW.

  12. IdeaStormerJ says:

What I don’t get is working at a computer (IT work/Software) company, we never run out of paper/post-its but the box of pens always disappears? Anybody buying them should of gotten the memo on that a long time ago! So everyone is jotting things down on the computer and printing things out on the printer yet all the pens are gone…

Yea, I don’t pay for them but why are they stealing my few good pens!
