  1. Boxer the Horse says:

Some graphs are more equal than others…

  2. Roxtar says:

until later… then it’s “4 legs good, 2 legs better”

  3. Irrattentive says:

    Animal Farm reference?

  4. Blarg says:

    Definitely needs a cheat sheet…

  5. Beau says:

I laughed only because right before I clicked on GraphJam I had just said, “Two legs, baaaad” to a friend. I can think of about three ways to graph this better.

  6. miggz says:

i have no idea about this one… dont get it

  7. silliewillie says:

For those who didn’t get it: it’s one of the basic principles of Animalism, according to George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm”.

  8. Neil says:

so i’m less moral than a tiger? hmmm.

and what about dolphins? they seem to be pretty upright creatures. but they have no legs!

  9. Kaiser Steve says:

    Yeah…. I wonder how you could make a “Nineteen Eighty-Four” Graph….

  10. PJ says:

Lol, I just read this book. I liked it a lot actually… And it only took two hours to read.

  11. Lambwithwings says:

This graph is technically a fairy tale, according to the author.
Bet you got that wrong on the test.
    :]

    • lifeline107 says:

actually, you can read it on four different levels.
      Fairy Tale
      The Communist Takeover
      How Power Crrupts Leaders
How Revolutions Can Be Started And Corrupted

  12. Justin0 says:

This one definately needs a cheat sheet, I’m just now getting it after reading the comments…

  13. Jimmy Kariznov says:

  14. Walter Schellenbier says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DnsmSxJTVE

“four legs good, two legs bad” occurs around 4:55 to 5:00 ish

  15. Gillian says:

so. it’s kinda sick, but Animal Farm was adapted for the stage as a musical.

And I’m totally hearing Napoleon and the other pigs singing “two legs bad, four legs good…”

  16. cj says:

I get the Animal Farm reference but, I think there should be a 3rd column that says 8 —really really bad!

  17. JuliaChartreuse says:

I swear, it would be way better if only the number of legs was on the y-axis and “good” and “bad” were on the x-axis. As it is, that’s just poor mathematics.
Animal Farm ftw tho. That was my favorite book in seventh grade.

  18. Chacha says:

    At first I was going to say “…wtf, not funny”, but now that I see it’s a classical literary reference, I feel brutally ashamed. ; ;

  19. Vince says:

    Also, wings count as legs.

  20. CommanderPanda says:

I’m completely ashamed that I didn’t get it until I read some comments. XD
    Orwel, ftw.

  21. Erik says:

Great book. I love allegories. Especially political allegories. Does anyone know who Boxer represented? I remember from class that he represented someone specific, but all I get on-line is some fuzzy generality, like “Dedicated, but tricked communist supporters.” I remember the person that I had heard was a general, who was a war hero (possibly Leningrad, but don’t quote me on that), who was trotted out for a while as a symbol of the good in Bolshevism, but then quietly gotten rid of, probably in a purge. My memory is fuzzy…

  22. Erik says:

Also, thanks for posting the youtube video. It’d been a while since I’d seen the movie. I find it ironic that the CIA funded the movie, since Orwell was criticizing American capitalism in the book, almost as much as Bolshevism.

Oh, and was I the only one that thought of PETA and the rabid anti-Vick crowd when I first saw this graph? lol

  23. lifeline107 says:

R.I.P. Boxer. We will never forget.
