  1. xorsyst says:

What about the English in Australia, eh? I think that would be about 50/50.

    Also, FIRST! ;)

    • Not A Whinger says:

Definitely! Although the Aussies seem to moan more in winter than us Poms – I think it’s pretty nice at the moment, they seem to think it’s rotten. Go figure! lol

      • TheRealWazzar says:

The weather here on the Gold Coast is brilliant during winter =D
Warm days, cool nights, low humidity. Then again, I’m a Kiwi :)

        • Fridge says:

You should try the winter weather in north queensland if you think the gold coast is warm in winter. Personally I find it quite cold down south in winter.

  2. Mongrel says:

2nd graph is only valid in Australia. When they’re living in England they take every opportunity to talk about the weather, mostly to rub it in about how crap ours is

  3. amaphone says:

    True!

  4. lilacsigil says:

Nope. Try living in an Australian farming community. It’s always too dry, too wet, too cold, too hot, too windy, too still…

    • woo says:

Totally agree. The weather is a MAJOR part of our day to day life (I’m Aussie BTW)…mostly because there is actually variation! :P

      • TheLarrikin says:

But Australia is only desert, right? Right??

God, some people are so ignorant. *sigh*

        • Harry says:

Australia isn’t only desert. YOU are the only ignorant person here.

Australia has some of the largest remaining rainforests in the world, along with a huge dividing mountain range that has a large amount of foliage. You have simply heard one description of Australia and formulated your entire opinion of the country based on that one piece of information.

        • Caity Lynne says:

Wow that was quite possibly the stupidest comment on this whole website, TheLarrikin.

  5. Bloobeard says:

Australian pie should be green and gold.

  6. donv69 says:

What the heck is an English in the context of an Australian. Are you referring to England English?

  7. WOOT! says:

Not so much in oz at teh moment (fckin COLD!!!!!!!!!!!) at least in melbourne

  8. Anna says:

So true. I spent two years in the UK and covered two main topics with the locals – the weather and tea (as in “Would you like a cup of tea? What?!?!? You don’t drink tea??? But what do you drink????You can’t drink water all the time, go on I’ll make you a lovely cuppa”)

But then I suppose it also depends on where you come from in Australia. Up here in Queensland we have great weather – except on long weekends when it absolutely pisses down and all the Victorians come up and wonder why the hell they bothered.
