I’m glad to see this made it on to the site, but I definitely think swearing in video games is *way* more valid than that. I’d never be able to beat tricky games without it.

you could take this same chart, with the same bars, and divide auto repair into the following cause categories in this order: “Chevy, Ford, BMW, Volkswagen”

they should add a column for restaurant work. I’ve never worked with people who swear so much as the people in kitchens. And when you have 40 orders come in all at once, you need to swear. Thankfully I don’t do that anymore. Too much stress.

No they mean about. I’ll give you a great example

My cousin who’s 11, isn’t really paying attention and slams the door as hard as he can on his sister (who’s 4). she breaks 3 bones in her hand, and 2 bones in her wrist. it causes our trip to Prague to be delayed 8 hours, causing us to lose our expensive hotel.

Thats why its valid.

The colors are all wrong. Work could mean lots of different things which would have different levels of validity/frequency. And the frequency of profanity in video games should be much higher due to Counter-Strike alone.

Is this measuring swearing that occurs by children or swearing that parents do at their children? Because some weeks, frequency and validity of swearing at my child could be up there with auto repair, even if it is under my breath.
