    ysssss.

  2. Michael Birks says:

Jagger ‘can’t get no satisfaction’. That would seem to imply that he can get satisfaction.

It isn’t specified in the song, but ’some satisfaction’ is generally interpreted as a positive value, not a negative one, as indicated in the graph?

  3. Jon says:

in English, especially in blues and other forms in which the vernacular is used, a double negative is not necessarily a positive. Hence, when Jagger sings “I can’t get no satisfaction” he means “I can’t get ANY satisfaction.” Thus, the negative value on the graph is correct.

    • RW says:

Jon’s grammatical analysis is correct, however this graph actually indicates a negative level of satisfaction for Jagger. A single mark directly on the x-axis would indicate a complete lack of satisfaction.

  4. aubrey says:

There should be a value for “low” and a mark on the key for Lil Jon.

  5. Billie_Budapest says:

    Brilliant!
