When I was 7, I thought my father was the smartest man in the world. When I turned 17, I realized he was actually the dumbest man in the world. When I turned 27, I was amazed how much he learned in a decade.

if your parents are anything like my mom, the IQ level hits zero at around age eight and by the time you’re twenty it’s dropped into the negative range.

while we’re on this subject, though, I’m 13 and am completely aware that my dad is an incredibly intelligent man. so it’s really more like “level of parental IQ the children are willing to recognise vs. child’s age” type-deal.

BTW…… I’m 16 and I’m certain my Intelligence isn’t like that…this graph fails in many ways….me and my friends are quite serious and proper unlike conventional stereotypical teenagers. And also………this graph fails the most because from my point of view teenagers are a lot smarter and more serious these days than back then….but i wouldn’t know much better than anyone because it all depends on the location, environment and circumstances (people, events) that affect the teenagers.

As previously stated by others in the post – “Perceived Parental IQ vs Child’s Age” would be more accurate. Unless the person making the graph was young, naturally. It’s all about perspective…

…what? a) A superlative generally implies whatever adjective it is based on, and b) why are you debating Max’s opinion?
