  1. Brandon_ha says:

    lol What about canada?

  2. julie says:

    the heading says “American females”

  3. Jane says:

Nice. I really love the part where there is no data.

  4. Ambie says:

I just want to confirm that yes we Alaskan girls do attempt to “keep our boyfriends warm at night” however we almost primarily rely on the pelts of baby seals.

  5. Wilko says:

Creepy, I was just thinking that somebody should do this earlier today… weird.

Its aparent I wish they all could be North Western Girls

  6. Sarah says:

Um, Virginia is a southern state. I mean, it WAS the capitol of the Confedericy. Well, Richmond down is, the rest is an extension of DC.

    • Pip says:

This map doesn’t divide up the country by region, it’s divided up by the female population and their characteristics. Notice that the blue regions indicate “knock me out”, not “Southern”.

    • aggro crag says:

The east coast is from maine to florida, including VA, but excluding PA. Pennsylvania has no coast nor does Vermont. I would include Texas in the southern region. Maybe we should consult David Lee Roth

  7. Usoki says:

Win. I love this song, and I love this band. The only way to make it better would be to make it a Beatles reference.

  8. Mao says:

    Lol, upper Michigan got owned.

  9. Sally says:

As a bonafide Virginia belle, I am distressed by Virginia’s classification on this map. Also, offended on Kentucky’s behalf. :P

    • sarah b. says:

yeah, i really like this other than the bluegrass state being classified as “the midwest.” maybe the northern tip and louisville, but other than that… southern all the way!

  10. Tara_Lee3 says:

Actually, there’s a beach boys song about Salt Lake City. In it they say, and I quote.

“The girls, The girls! They’ve got the cutest of the western states!”

Therefore… your little map needs a blip in the northern part of Utah labeled Cutest.

*grin* aside from that. Totally awesome map. :)

(Aw geez.. first time I tried, it didn’t go through. I hope I don’t double post.)

  11. josh says:

oregon & washington … so tan??? orange maybe, but not tan.

i respectfully submit that ‘west coast girls’ and ‘pacfic northwest girls’ are mutually exclusive. or brian wilson has never been to seattle or portland.

    • Zeer says:

I was about to say the same thing – apparently Brian Wilson has never been north of California. I’m damn white, and I haven’t seen the sun since god knows when. ;)

  12. Christine says:

Here’s a third vote for Virginia as a southern state. :)

  13. DrPhibes says:

Love the beach boys, love this graph!

  14. Skie says:

D= What about the Upper Michigan girls! Are we not midwest!
    NO DATAZ. SADNESS.
    Or are we Canadian.. Hah.

  15. John L says:

Texas, Virginia, Kentucky are Southern states. Maryland was only northern by name. Most of Maryland supported the South.

    • Sarah says:

True, and so was West Virginia. But no one likes either state, and they are officially northern now for bending to peer pressure. Besides, Maryland sucks, its pretty much a useless state, except as suburbs for Washington DC.

  16. Detroit says:

No Love for “Da UP’pers”?!? As a Troll (other michigan residents will understand) this bothers me. My vote is for Northern Michigan being classified ‘Northern’.

    • Skie says:

      Canadian! PSHAW. =P
      <.< Damn troll.

    • BearsGrl8 says:

I’m an Illinoisian living in the UP (but NOT a Yooper – Thanks Troll! Although, the population up here would like to be known as Superior, in recognition of their Lake (and sometimes over-inflated egos). :-)

  17. Ovamiat says:

Texas and Oklahoma are Southern. The U.P. is Midwestern. Nevada considers itself part of the West Coast, as does Arizona, as to be ready for California to fall into the ocean. (^_^) West Virginia is a little confusing using these regional divisions… I’d call it the same as Virginia. As for DELAWARE… How could you forget Delaware, as well as Rhode Island? One more thing… North Dakota is Midwestern, as is eastern Montana. Eastern Colorado is also Midwestern, the same with southeastern Wyoming. Northern Wyoming counts as Northern, and southeastern coastal Alaska (where Juneau is) is actually quite warm most of the year, so it should be blank.

  18. killedbyllamas says:

West Virginia is definitely southern; that’s where I’m originally from, and see the little horizontal flat bit along the top right of the state? That’s the Mason-Dixon line, i.e. the division between north and south.

    • Beth says:

Um, no, try again. WV never will be southern, just because yall have a different accent and are poor doesn’t make you southern. Check the score board!!! What side where yall on during the war? Um yes, thats right, the Union. I’m sorry, but yall were just to wussy to wear the grey. Plus its COLD in WV. Killedbyllamas, have fun with your cousin tonight;)

      • GatorCat says:

The North doesn’t want WV either, Beth. Looks like they’re out of luck entirely. They’ll have to turn to their sisters to keep ‘em warm at night. Oh wait…

  19. Quisty says:

I always thought I not only keep you warm at night, but also make you feel all right.

As someone said ND is midwestern…and boy do we have a lot of farmers with daughters.

But it’s still good to know which category I actually fall under so I can stop doing both.

  20. Maxine says:

    Hehe… sweet.

  21. Crazy Emmersion says:

Carolina rolls off the tongue SO much better than California.

  22. Orion says:

I also must complain on behalf of both New Hampshire and Vermont. In no way, shape, or form could you ever consider us “stylish” or any variant unless you’re into wal-mart’s excellent choice of clothing, and Vermont doesn’t have a real “coast.” (Unless you count Lake Champlain, which is silly)

  23. SQFreak says:

Apparently, the North Carolina Outer Banks got pwn3d too.

  24. mastershake says:

All you Virginia and Kentucky people with your undies in a bunch need to face reality. Am I going to visit your state in February for the nice weather? No? Then you’re not a southern state.

  25. Alex VW says:

Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii shouldn’t have any data. That’s all California baby.

  26. miisy says:

nevada girls kick ass..just for the info… we might not be “as cool” as the cali girls but we are pretty close lol

  27. leelee says:

As an Ohioan, we Buckeyes would prefer that neither Kentucky nor West Virginia be classified as residing in the Midwest.

  28. Stumbler says:

Only one state in the Northeast should be considered stylish… New Jersey!

    JK, NY FTW!
