Possibly the most brilliant graphjam to date!!
I just feel the need to say:
Thank you for going there. I was getting sick of the rap graphs, about time someone did good music.
That’s brill. Love it!
Your “brill” made me lol.
Goo goo gajoo.
This is pure awesome. It’s that simple.
no room for flying pigs?
(lame joke btw)
And now, VH1’s vote for the worst music video ever: I am the Lolrus.
Great graph!
But – shouldn’t “we” also be be part of “I” and “he”?
“I am he, as you are he, as you are me, and we are altogher.”
P.S. lizbiz – I don’t understand flying pigs ref…
That’s what I was just telling my boyfriend! and WE should be a part of everything… since WE are altogether…
I believe the graph is perfect, given the constraints of two-dimensional space vis-a-vis the lyrics of “I Am The Walrus.”
Note specifically that “I” and “me” are shown as non-intersecting sets. This captures well the mental space of the song.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I haven’t been myself lately…
Epic.
Dear Lori:
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
See how they fly like Lucy in the sky, see how they run.
I think the recently departed Dr. Hoffman as well as the auteur Mr. Lennon would approve!
I thought Abbie Hoffman (RIP) died in the eighties?
Yes, they run…and they fly… but, “they” are not the pigs. Lucy flies, but the pigs don’t ever leave the ground.
The funny thing is, John Lennon wrote these lyrics after hearing that people actually spent time debating the meaning of Beatles songs. He figured that these were so ridiculous, no one would ever try to analyze them!
And then my second year college English prof had us do exactly that: analyze ‘I Am The Walrus’…
brilliant! absolutely brilliant!
LOL! Good point, Lori….that’s really funny. I guess given enough time and a high enough geekiness-to-intelligence ratio, people will over-analyze anything.
…cooourse, being completely toasted while tripping your balls off to Magical Mystery Tour helps a bit too….lol.
Oh, and I too thank this graph’s creator for giving us something non-rap-related for a change. Who knew there were so many effing GanstaGeeks out there? Damn.
I mean, rap is definately NOT my thing, and while I can appreciate it for what it is, I swear if I see one more bitches and hos pie chart, I think I’m gonna scream…lol.
-V.
Genius. Absolutely everything that graphjam is about.
ok … that’s stunningly brilliant
But Lori, if there weren’t rap graphs, then you wouldn’t be able to say such ridiculous phrases like “bitches and hos pie chart”. I mean, Microsoft could make a killing off of a “bitches and hos pie chart” option in Word’s graph tool. Haha.
It is also nice to see a graph of a more complicated relationship. Bravo.
The greatest thing. ever.
Epic hyperbole.
That’s no hyperbole, my good man/woman/motorcycle.
Epic win.
Absolutely Spectacular!!!
except if we are all together shouldnt he be included in “we”
I don’t think they should be connected, as the lyrics state we are all together, not we are all the same. So since “I” and “Me” are both connected to “You”, that still makes them all together, but not one entity.
All of the circles should be placed in one big WE-circle, because we are all together.
It’s great that the Beatles made videos like 15 years before MTV.
….coo coo cachoo.
Where are the choking smokers?
I love that line…
Elementry Penguin.
All I can say is “Ho-ho-ho, hee-hee-hee, ha-ha-ha”
